The 2nd Fintech Week Dubai took place on February 16–17, 2026, at the Radisson Blu Hotel, Dubai Deira Creek. Organized by The People Events under the theme “Payments, Security & Beyond,” the conference covered topics including payments, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, digital identity, open finance and compliance. The event has concluded.

When and where was Fintech Week Dubai 2026?

The two-day conference was held at the Radisson Blu Hotel, Dubai Deira Creek, in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The event agenda and organizer’s post-event account identify February 16–17, 2026, as the dates it took place.

Some promotional material—including the organizer’s brochure and a speaker announcement—listed February 17–18 instead. The agenda and post-event account agree on February 16–17, so those are the best-supported dates for the completed event.

What was the conference about?

The stated theme was “Payments, Security & Beyond.” The program announcement described keynotes, panels, solution showcases and networking. Its reported subject areas included fintech and banking, cybersecurity, AI, digital identity, open finance, compliance, cross-border payments, digital banking, blockchain and regulatory transformation. These were program themes; the published information does not establish that each was covered in a separate session.

Who organized it, and who was announced?

The People Events organized the conference. Its speaker announcements included James Ashton-Smith, identified as Head of Visa Accelerator Program & Digital Partnerships and Ventures – CEMEA, for a panel on open banking, open finance and payment innovation. Shelli Ryan, Founder and CEO of AdHoc Communication Resources, was also announced as a speaker.

What do the published attendance figures mean?

In a January 17, 2026 announcement, The People Events projected 300+ senior decision-makers, 50+ global speakers and participants from 30+ countries. These were pre-event projections, not independently verified final totals. The later post-event announcement described “over 50 global leaders, innovators, regulators, and financial experts,” but did not publish an audited attendee count.

The January announcement also quoted Ujjwal Choudhary, Production Lead at The People Events: “Dubai is not just the fintech gateway to the Middle East — it’s a global crossroads of innovation and collaboration.” This was the organizer’s characterization, rather than an independent assessment of Dubai’s role in fintech.
