The deal included Delta Force and other named franchises, but the company’s list was an excerpt—not a complete inventory. The announcement did not disclose a NovaLogic-specific purchase price, and the available sources do not establish who owns each right today or where every legacy game can currently be bought.
What did THQ Nordic acquire?
THQ Nordic described the transaction as an asset purchase covering “all games and/or projects owned by NovaLogic.” Its announcement called the properties it named an “extract of the acquired franchises and brands,” so the list should be read as examples rather than a full accounting.

THQ Nordic’s 2016 annual report gives more detail about the scope: domains, franchises, equipment and intangible assets related to existing games and unlaunched projects. It described the acquired portfolio as “some 30 games based on around 5 franchises.” Those are approximate company-reported figures, not an exact audited title count. The report also identified Wolfpack among the franchises NovaLogic was best known for.
When did the deal close?
THQ Nordic said the asset purchase agreement had closed on October 31, 2016. NovaLogic owner, founder and CEO John Garcia described the handover as passing the baton after 30 years of making computer and video games. The announcement also quoted THQ Nordic Business and Product Development Director Reinhard Pollice, who said the company was interested in continuing some of the franchises and was open to hearing sequel concepts from developers. That expressed interest was not an announcement that a sequel had been funded or made.

How much did THQ Nordic pay?
The announcement did not state a purchase price for NovaLogic, and GamesBeat reported that the fee was undisclosed. THQ Nordic’s 2016 annual report recorded SEK 22.6 million as the company’s total investment in intellectual-property acquisitions during that year; it was not the price of this individual deal.

The 2016 announcement and annual report document what THQ Nordic said it acquired then, but they do not establish present-day ownership title by title or whether rights were later assigned, licensed or transferred. THQ Nordic’s catalog page, checked on October 8, 2026, does not by itself confirm current availability of NovaLogic games. Nor does the absence of a listing prove that rights changed hands or that a game is unavailable through another seller. A current answer requires confirmation from a relevant rights holder or the specific storefront.

A later Embracer Group announcement about Arc Games and Cryptic Studios describes other rights transfers, but does not address NovaLogic. It therefore cannot settle the status of these properties.
