Candidates were asked to sign in with their registered email address and password to view and save the key. The portal still shows a login page, but it does not confirm that the 2023 files can still be downloaded today.
Where to check for the TANCET 2023 answer key
Use Anna University’s official TANCET portal. Its current public page identifies TANCET 2023 and CEETA-PG 2023 and displays a candidate login, but does not publicly show the historic answer-key file. Availability after the original release has not been confirmed.
How candidates downloaded the key
- Visit tancet.annauniv.edu.
- Select the answer-key link for TANCET 2023.
- Sign in with the email address and password registered for the exam, and complete the portal’s CAPTCHA if prompted.
- Open the displayed key and download or save it for reference.
This is the process reported at the time of release; the steps do not guarantee that the historic file remains accessible. If the answer-key link is no longer available after login, the portal does not provide a publicly visible alternative download on its current page.
Provisional and final answer-key release dates
Contemporaneous reports do not give one consistent date for the provisional key. The Indian Express and Scroll reported on April 3, 2023, that answer keys had been released. Scroll’s April 11 follow-up dates the provisional-key release to April 4. The distinction matters: the April 3 reports may reflect when the release was announced or reported, while the later account specifies April 4 for the provisional key. The sources do not establish why their dates differ.
#1 Best Overall
Scroll and Hindustan Times reported that Anna University released the final answer key on April 11, 2023. That final key should not be confused with the provisional version.

TANCET is the Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test used for MBA and MCA admissions. Scroll reported that the 2023 MBA and MCA exams were held on March 25. A broader report covering the TANCET and CEETA-PG schedule describes exams across March 25 and 26; that wider schedule should not be read as saying the MBA and MCA exams both took place on both days.
Quick Recap
What to do if the portal does not show the file
- Check that you are using the official Anna University portal and the credentials registered for the exam.
- If you can sign in but cannot find the 2023 answer-key link, the portal’s visible login page alone does not confirm that the historic file is still hosted.
- Do not treat an unofficial copy as an official key unless its source and version can be verified. The available reports distinguish the provisional key from the final key, released April 11, 2023.
