Vinnies WA opened its relocated Joondalup Support Centre at 5/209 Winton Road on 31 July 2025, replacing its former Reid Promenade site. The charity said rising demand had outgrown the old premises and described the new location as offering more parking, improved accessibility, dedicated delivery access and additional storage. Its announcement does not quantify the site’s size or measure any increase in service capacity.
Where the centre moved and what changed
The relocation was announced by Vinnies WA on 31 July 2025. The centre moved from Reid Promenade to 5/209 Winton Road. Vinnies said the former location had been outgrown and listed more parking, better accessibility, dedicated delivery access and more storage as features of the new premises. No comparative measurements or independent assessment of those features were provided.
What support the centre offers
Vinnies’ announcement describes a volunteer-staffed service offering emergency relief for food, clothing, petrol and utility bills, as well as professional financial counselling, referrals, advocacy and community support. Appointments were preferred. The announcement listed opening hours as Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, 10am to 1pm.
What Vinnies reported about demand
Vinnies WA said the Joondalup centre provided more than 2,500 food hampers and vouchers and supported almost 700 families in 2024–25. Allan Rose, Vinnies WA Northern Centre President, said presentations from people experiencing homelessness increased 275% over the preceding four years. That figure describes presentations, not necessarily distinct people; the announcement gives neither a baseline count nor a measurement method.

In the same 2025 announcement, Vinnies WA Service Executive Manager of Community Engagement Services Andrew York said the organisation forecast a 47% increase in household assistance across Western Australia by 2030. The announcement does not identify the forecast’s underlying document or method, so it is best understood as a projection attributed to Vinnies, not an independently verified estimate.
Check the address and phone number before visiting
There is a discrepancy between the dated Vinnies WA relocation announcement and the City of Joondalup’s service listing. Vinnies’ announcement gives the unit as 5/209 Winton Road and lists 1300 794 054 and [email protected]. The City of Joondalup listing gives 2/209 Winton Road and (08) 9300 9634. Both list Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, 10am–1pm. The difference is unresolved in the published information cited here; contact Vinnies or check its current official service listing before travelling.
