What was the TNPSC Group 5A 2025 deadline?
TNPSC opened applications on 7 October 2025 and closed them on 5 November 2025. The official portal now marks the application “Application Closed.” It lists 12 November 2025 in the notification/payment date column; that date is not the application deadline. TNPSC’s official notification portal identifies the recruitment as Notification No. 16/2025.
What recruitment did “Group 5A” refer to?
The formal name was the Combined Civil Services Examination–Group VA Services. TNPSC issued Notification No. 16/2025 on 7 October 2025. The portal listed the examination date as 21 December 2025, which has passed. What did the 2025 notice say about fees and submission?
The notification listed an examination fee of Rs.100 unless a candidate qualified for and claimed an exemption. It allowed online payment by net banking, credit card, debit card or UPI. Eligibility for an exemption depended on the notification and its annexures; it should not be inferred from the headline.

For that cycle, the notice treated an application as submitted only after the candidate completed final submission by clicking “SUBMIT.” Viewing the preview alone did not count. Candidates were instructed to retain the generated application number or ID. The notice also warned that failure to pay a required fee on time could lead to rejection. Could candidates correct the application after the deadline?
The notification specified a three-day correction window after the application deadline. It also said applicants could edit their forms up to the final application date and advised submitting well before the deadline to avoid website or connectivity problems. That correction period was part of the 2025 process and is not open now.

Where was the examination scheduled?
The notice specified Chennai centre only, while reserving TNPSC’s right to increase or decrease the number of centres and to re-allot candidates. This was the stated arrangement in the 2025 notification, not confirmation of an individual candidate’s final centre.

The 2025 deadline cannot be used to apply now. Anyone interested in a later TNPSC recruitment should check the Commission’s official notification portal for the relevant cycle’s dates, eligibility, fee rules and application status rather than relying on an old deadline.
