What were the application dates?
Moneycontrol reported that online applications opened on February 11, 2025, with March 7, 2025 as the initial closing date. Scroll.in reported on March 7 that the deadline had been deferred to March 17. A later Scroll.in report said the deadline was extended again, to April 30, 2025. The April 30 date is reported by Scroll.in; it is not independently confirmed here against the underlying TPSC extension notice.

The application window has long since closed. Do not rely on old pages describing the March 7 deadline or carrying an “apply now” prompt as evidence that applications are still being accepted.
Eligibility depended on the subject
Applicants needed to check the official Advertisement 05/2025 and any TPSC clarifications for the discipline they applied to. A copy of an April 2025 clarification reported specific subject requirements for some disciplines, but it does not establish the complete eligibility rules for all posts.
- Commerce and Political Science: The clarification said candidates needed a Master’s degree in the corresponding subject and NET/SLET/SET or a PhD.
- Environmental Science: The clarification also required matching subject credentials.
- Botany: It said NET/SLET/SET in Life Science or a PhD in Botany was allowed.
