Anna University’s 2025 brochure listed 21 February as the application deadline; a later Indian Express report said the deadline was extended to 26 February. The official examination portal now identifies the current cycle as TANCET 2026, so check it for current notices rather than trying to register for 2025.
Is the TANCET 2025 application window still open?
No. The 2025 application window is closed. Anna University’s TANCET 2025 Information Brochure printed “Last date for applying is 21.02.2025 (Friday).” A later Indian Express report said Anna University extended the deadline to 26 February 2025. The brochure establishes the original date; the later date is supported by that news report.
The official Anna University examination portal now identifies the current cycle as TANCET 2026. Use it to check the applicable cycle and its notices. Do not rely on an old 2025 registration link or schedule for a future application.
What happened after the 2025 deadline?
Anna University held both the TANCET MBA and MCA examinations on 22 March 2025. Its press release dated 25 April 2025 announced that the results had been released; scorecards were available from 7 May through 6 June 2025. Those dates have passed.

| 2025 exam | Registered | Appeared | Exam date |
|---|---|---|---|
| TANCET MBA | 22,806 | 20,992 | 22 March 2025 |
| TANCET MCA | 10,287 | 9,699 | 22 March 2025 |
Anna University reported 38,301 registrations and 35,323 candidates who appeared across TANCET and CEETA-PG combined. The MBA and MCA figures above refer to TANCET candidates, not the combined total. These figures and the result dates are from the university’s 25 April 2025 press release.
How TANCET registration differs from applying for admission
Registering for TANCET is an entrance-test step, not a complete MBA or MCA admission application. Anna University’s 2025 brochure described the sequence as appearing for TANCET and then applying for admission to the relevant admitting authorities. Candidates pursuing a later cycle should check the current instructions for both the examination and the separate admission process.
For questions about counselling or admission, Anna University lists a separate TN MBA/MCA Admissions office on its contact page. The examination portal is the place to check test-cycle notices; admission questions may belong with the relevant admitting authority.

For the 2025 cycle, registration was online. Anna University’s registration instruction sheet told applicants to prepare their name as shown on the SSLC mark sheet, email and password, date of birth, mobile number, and exam choice. It warned that the selected examination could not be changed. These are historical 2025 instructions, not a guarantee that a later cycle will use the same requirements or schedule; follow the instructions published for the cycle you plan to take.
