The offers are worth checking if you are a newcomer, but prices, eligibility and availability can vary by region and activation terms. The current Canoo portal lists examples such as 20GB for $29 and a bring-your-own-phone plan with 60GB for $34; treat both as dated promotions, not guaranteed prices.
What the TELUS–ICC partnership offers
MobileSyrup reported on October 16, 2024, that TELUS and ICC were partnering to provide newcomer deals through the Canoo app. The launch coverage identified offers associated with TELUS, Koodo, Public Mobile and Mobile Klinik. Canoo is an ICC project that gives eligible members access to partner offers and newcomer experiences.
Canoo’s partner page describes a broader mix of opportunities: mobility and home services, device discounts and repairs, and events or giveaways presented with TELUS. That describes offer categories, not a guarantee that every service or promotion is available to every member at all times. See Canoo’s TELUS partner page.
What offers are listed now
The TELUS Canoo portal retrieved on October 8, 2026, displayed Canada-wide examples of 20GB for $29 and a $34 plan with 60GB for customers bringing their own phone. A regional page also listed a certified pre-owned Samsung Galaxy S24 with a rate plan. These are snapshots: promotions, stock, prices and eligibility can change, and regional pages may show different offers. TELUS says offers may vary by region and are for new activations only. Check the TELUS Canoo offer portal and the applicable regional terms before signing up.

The 2024 launch report described a $29/20GB Koodo bring-your-own-phone plan it saw in the Canoo app. That is a historical observation, not proof that the same Koodo offer is currently available. The report also said its writer could not access TELUS Marketplace, so its app observations did not establish a complete inventory of partner offers.
How Canoo eligibility and credit requirements work
In 2024, MobileSyrup reported Canoo eligibility for people who had become Canadian citizens within the prior 365 days or permanent residents within the prior five years. Those are launch-era reported criteria; confirm current membership rules with Canoo before relying on them.

The launch report said members could access the reported deals without Canadian credit history. The current TELUS portal also says one online offer bypasses Canadian credit requirements. Neither statement establishes that every plan, device purchase, financing arrangement or sign-up channel avoids all credit checks. Review the terms for the specific offer and ask the provider how credit eligibility applies to your transaction.

Stream+ and other services
TELUS currently advertises Stream+ through its Canoo portal. The 2024 report described Stream+ as including Netflix, Disney+, Amazon Prime and TELUS Films & Series, and said access required TELUS or Koodo service; it did not identify a newcomer-specific discount. Those details are from the 2024 report, so verify the current package inclusions, price and service requirements on the portal before subscribing.

Canoo’s partner page also lists home services and device repairs among the categories associated with TELUS and its partners. Check the relevant current offer terms for service area, eligibility and price; the category listing alone does not establish a particular deal.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. What the partnership’s reported numbers do—and do not—show
The ICC’s 2024–2025 annual report says Canoo delivered more than 400,000 experiences in that reporting period. That is a program-wide figure, not a count of TELUS offer users or a measure of savings from this partnership. The available reporting does not establish partnership-specific take-up, savings or customer-satisfaction results.
