Een definitief Staatsloterij-totaal voor 2025 is niet vastgesteld in de beschikbare officiële cijfers. Het vaak genoemde getal van 55 nieuwe miljonairs in 2025 geldt voor Nederlandse Loterij als geheel, niet alleen voor de Staatsloterij.
Hoeveel Staatsloterij-miljonairs waren er in 2024?
Op 31 december 2024 meldde Nederlandse Loterij dat 20 Staatsloterij-spelers dat jaar al minstens €1 miljoen belastingvrij hadden gewonnen. Dat was een tussenstand vóór de Oudejaarstrekking, geen afgerond jaartotaal. Nederlandse Loterij maakte die tussenstand op 31 december bekend.
De Oudejaarstrekking kon de telling nog verhogen: de hoofdprijs zou minstens één extra miljonair opleveren, of twee als de prijs op twee halve loten viel. Omdat de mededeling een verwachting beschreef en geen eindtelling publiceerde, is op basis hiervan niet vast te stellen of het definitieve aantal voor heel 2024 precies 20, 21 of 22 was.
Wat betekent het getal 55 voor 2025?
De jaarverslagpagina van Nederlandse Loterij noemt 55 nieuwe miljonairs in 2025, tegenover 31 in 2024. Dit zijn cijfers voor Nederlandse Loterij als organisatie, die meerdere spellen omvat. De pagina splitst de aantallen niet uit naar Staatsloterij. Daarom kan 55 niet worden aangehaald als het aantal mensen dat in 2025 via de Staatsloterij miljonair werd. De jaarverslagpagina vermeldt het organisatiebrede cijfer.

De geraadpleegde officiële bronnen stellen geen definitief aantal unieke Staatsloterij-miljonairs voor heel 2025 vast. De jaarverslagcijfers geven dus wel context over Nederlandse Loterij als geheel, maar beantwoorden die specifieke vraag niet.
Waarom prijzen en miljonairs niet hetzelfde tellen
Een prijzenaantal, het aantal winnende loten en het aantal unieke mensen met minstens €1 miljoen zijn verschillende grootheden. Een uitslag van één trekking vertelt niet hoeveel verschillende personen gedurende het hele kalenderjaar miljonair werden. Zo vermeldt de uitslag van 10 november 2025 twee hoofdprijzen van €1 miljoen; dat is geen jaartotaal van unieke winnaars. De uitslag van die trekking toont de twee hoofdprijzen.

De prijzenpot van 2025 was een raming
Staatsloterij noemde voor 2025 een netto-prijzenpot van €455 miljoen, geraamd op basis van de verwachte verkoop voor 16 trekkingen. Het was een schatting; het gerealiseerde bedrag en het aantal uitgekeerde prijzen konden door de werkelijke inleg afwijken. De raming zegt op zichzelf niet hoeveel unieke spelers miljonair werden. Staatsloterij licht de raming en de trekkingen toe bij het prijzenpakket voor 2025.
Voor 2025 beschreef Staatsloterij 12 reguliere trekkingen op de 10e van de maand en vier speciale trekkingen. De Oudejaarstrekking van 2025 had een hoofdprijs van €30 miljoen; de vier speciale trekkingen, waaronder Oudejaar, hadden geen maandelijkse Jackpot. Deze informatie beschrijft het trekkingsaanbod, niet het aantal unieke miljonairs. Het prijzenpakket van de Oudejaarstrekking 2025 vermeldt de hoofdprijs en de speciale trekkingen.
