Sprinklr cut about 3% of its workforce in May 2024, or around 116 employees, according to a TechCrunch report published May 3, 2024. That figure is an estimate: Sprinklr did not disclose the exact number of employees affected. The report described a customer operations realignment, not a new layoff announcement in 2026.
How many employees did Sprinklr lay off?
TechCrunch reported that Sprinklr reduced its workforce by about 3%, equivalent to around 116 employees. The company did not disclose an exact headcount in the report, so 116 should be treated as a reported estimate, not a confirmed total.
The report said employees in markets including the United States and India were notified. It did not provide a complete list of affected locations or teams.
Why did Sprinklr make the cuts?
A Sprinklr spokesperson told TechCrunch the company had made a “strategic business decision to realign our headcount across our customer operations organization.” The spokesperson said the change was intended to accelerate go-to-market efficiencies and help the company better serve customers. These are Sprinklr’s stated reasons.

The spokesperson also said C-level roles were not affected, the company would follow applicable local and country laws, and affected employees would receive support through the transition. Sprinklr said it planned to continue hiring in prioritized areas.
How the May 2024 cuts fit into later restructuring
Sprinklr’s fiscal 2026 Form 10-K records three separate restructuring plans: about 4% of the workforce in February 2023, about 3% in May 2024, and about 12% in February 2025. For the 2025 plan, the filing says the company aimed to align employee costs with the business and free capital for incremental investment. That later action was separate from the May 2024 cuts.

The Form 10-K says Sprinklr had 3,258 employees as of January 31, 2026: 634 in the United States and 2,624 internationally, including 1,956 in India. This is a later company-wide snapshot, not a count of people affected in May 2024 and not a basis for recalculating those cuts.

Sprinklr’s newsroom listed a release of its Q2 fiscal 2027 results dated September 2, 2026. The reviewed newsroom listing and release did not identify a newer layoff announcement; that absence does not establish that no subsequent workforce changes occurred.
