On 12 May 2026, Southampton chief executive Phil Parsons said: “Dragan Solak continues to support the club financially, and we remain proud to have stayed competitive while operating within financial regulations, something that is important for the long-term stability of the club.” This is the club’s own description of its financial support and position. Separately, Southampton said on 20 May 2026 that it had admitted EFL regulation breaches, appealed an Independent Disciplinary Commission decision to expel it from the Championship play-offs, and was challenging a four-point deduction for 2026/27. The club said the appeal would be heard that day.
