In April 2016, Streebo said it had completed the spin-off of its pharmaceutical software and consulting practice into qordata, a new company focused on data management and business intelligence for pharmaceutical and life-sciences businesses. The announcement framed the move as a way to sharpen each company’s focus; it does not establish how the spin-off performed or whether the companies’ products and leadership remain the same today.
What Streebo spun off
Streebo’s April 4, 2016 announcement described qordata as a startup offering software and consulting to pharmaceutical and life-sciences corporations, particularly in compliance, marketing, and commercial operations. The announcement said the new company inherited Streebo’s Open Payment Analytics platform.
According to the release, Open Payment Analytics served “over 40 leading customers in the Pharma & Life Sciences industry” at the time. Streebo also said the platform would be rebranded as qordata insights. These are announcement-time claims, not verified current customer or product information. What qordata’s core strategy was
The company’s stated strategy was to strengthen its portfolio for pharmaceutical and life-sciences businesses. Its CEO, Mohammad Ovais, said qordata expected to work with pharmaceutical, life-sciences, medical-device, and diagnostic companies on business problems involving data and information management. He described the aim as accelerating innovation and becoming a go-to partner for pharmaceutical companies.

Why the businesses separated
The announcement presented separation as a way to give the distinct businesses greater management focus. It said independent management teams would have strategic autonomy and financial flexibility. Those were the companies’ expected benefits, not evidence that the spin-off later achieved them.
Usman Memon, identified in the release as Streebo’s managing partner and co-founder, said the decision reflected a commitment to changes intended to support sustainable growth and customer value. The statement explains the rationale the company gave in 2016; it does not demonstrate the results.

What the announcement does—and does not—establish
The release identifies Mohammad Ovais as qordata’s CEO and Princeton, New Jersey, as its headquarters at the time. It does not establish qordata’s present ownership, leadership, operations, customer count, or product availability. Nor does this announcement alone show whether the spin-off succeeded.
