The Steam Autumn Sale 2024 has ended. It ran from November 27 through December 4, 2024, and the prices below are historical—not offers you can count on finding today. Valve said thousands of games were discounted, so this shortlist is selective rather than a complete catalog.
What counted as a best deal in the 2024 Steam Autumn Sale?
Valve announced the event on November 27, 2024, and said it would run through December 4 at 10 a.m. Pacific Time. Its announcement described thousands of discounted games across genres and themes, but did not rank them or identify an objectively best deal. Valve’s announcement is the primary source for the dates and sale scope.
This retrospective shortlist uses the available contemporary examples and weighs the appeal of the named games alongside the price evidence that was actually reported. The evidence supports one specific price comparison, for Balatro; it does not support a fully audited price ranking across all three games. No historic-low claim is established.
Which new PC games were highlighted?
| Game | What was reported for the 2024 sale | What is not established |
|---|---|---|
| Balatro | A contemporaneous Yahoo Tech roundup reported a sale price of $13 against a $15 list price during the November–December 2024 sale. | The evidence here does not independently verify an archived store listing or a discount percentage; regional prices and rounding can vary. |
| Palworld | Named among the sale games liked by the same contemporary roundup. | Sale price, currency, list price, discount, edition, and platform requirements. |
| Helldivers 2 | Named among the sale games liked by the same contemporary roundup. | Sale price, currency, list price, discount, edition, and platform requirements. |
The game recommendations and Balatro price comparison come from the November 27, 2024 Yahoo Tech roundup, not from Valve. They are examples, not a complete list of discounted games. The available information does not establish which game offered the biggest percentage saving or the best value for every player.

How to judge a historical game deal
A sale price matters only in relation to the game, its usual price, and what the buyer wants. For a reliable comparison, check the same regional Steam store listing and edition for each title, and distinguish a full game from an add-on. Do not infer a discount percentage from the Balatro price pair here or treat any of these examples as confirmed historic lows.
Steam’s seasonal-sale storefront can surface games through tags, popularity, recommendations, and featured selections that refresh during the event. That helps with discovery, but placement is Steam merchandising—not an independent review score or proof that a game is the best purchase. Valve explains the mechanics in its Seasonal Sales documentation.

Historical Steam Deck offers
Valve also listed selected Steam Deck LCD units in region-specific offers during the sale: selected 64GB units were 15% off in the EU, while selected 512GB units were 25% off in the U.S. and Canada, while supplies lasted. These were limited historical hardware offers, not a general discount or a current price. Valve’s event announcement is the source for those terms.

The event also opened nominations for the 2024 Steam Awards across 11 categories and offered Discovery Queue stickers. These were sale activities, not measures of game quality or reasons on their own to buy a particular title. Valve included them in its announcement.
