Spectrum Retention Phone Number: How to Get the Best Deal

Spectrum lists 833-949-0036 for 24/7 customer support, not as a dedicated retention line. Here’s how to request an account price review and compare available offers.

Spectrum does not list a dedicated retention phone number on its public contact page. The safest current starting point is 833-949-0036, Spectrum’s 24/7 customer-support number for account and billing questions. Ask for an account price review and help with service changes or cancellation. A verified Spectrum employee moderator also gave 855-707-7328 for service changes in an answer posted in September 2024 and edited in January 2025, but confirm that this older routing still works.

Which Spectrum number should you call?

Call 833-949-0036 to start. Spectrum’s public contact page lists it for customer support and account or billing questions, with service available 24/7; it does not identify the number as a dedicated retention line.

For adding, removing, transferring, or canceling service, a verified Spectrum employee moderator gave 855-707-7328 in a Spectrum Community answer posted in September 2024 and edited in January 2025. Since phone routing can change, treat it as an additional route to verify rather than a guaranteed current retention line.

Spectrum’s service-change page directs customers to sign in to see cancellation options. You can call and ask plainly for a review of the account’s available pricing and the team that handles cancellation or service changes. Spectrum does not publish a guaranteed retention discount in these sources.

Hitron CODA56 Cable Internet Modem ONLY - DOCSIS 3.1 | 2.5 Gbps | NO WiFi - Requires Router | Xfinity/Spectrum/Cox Compatible | NOT for Fiber/DSL
  • ⚠️ CABLE INTERNET ONLY - NOT COMPATIBLE WITH: Fiber (Verizon FiOS, AT&T), DSL, Satellite, or Fixed Wireless. ONLY works with cable providers like Xfinity, Spectrum, Cox. Verify your internet type BEFORE purchase.
  • 🚫 NO WiFi INCLUDED - ROUTER REQUIRED: This is a modem ONLY. You MUST buy a separate WiFi router to get wireless internet. Without a router, only ONE device can connect via Ethernet cable. This does NOT replace your current WiFi router.
  • 🔌 CABLE INTERNET REQUIRED: Works EXCLUSIVELY with cable internet service (DOCSIS) from providers like Xfinity, Spectrum, or Cox. Will NOT work with fiber (Verizon FiOS, AT&T), DSL, satellite, or fixed wireless internet. Contact your ISP to confirm compatibility BEFORE purchasing.
  • 🚀 MULTI-GIG PERFORMANCE: Supports internet plans up to 2.5 Gbps with 2.5 Gbps Ethernet port. Designed for plans 1 Gbps and faster from certified providers: Xfinity (up to 2.33 Gbps), Spectrum (1 Gbps), Cox (2 Gbps). Verify your plan speed and provider compatibility.
  • 💡 SETUP REQUIREMENTS: You need: (1) Cable internet service, (2) Separate WiFi router with 2.5 Gbps port for full speeds, (3) ISP activation. This modem cannot create WiFi networks or connect multiple devices without additional equipment.

How to prepare for a price-review call

  1. Check your bill. Have the latest bill and account information ready. Note the total recurring amount and separate the services you use from those you could do without.
  2. Make the call. Start with 833-949-0036 and ask for an account price review and service-change or cancellation assistance. If needed, try 855-707-7328 for service changes, while confirming the number is still active.
  3. Get the full terms of any offer. Ask for the monthly total, how long the price lasts, what it becomes afterward, which equipment or WiFi service is included, and any fees or changes to your service. These are comparison questions, not a published Spectrum script.
  4. Compare like with like. Check plans actually available at your address. Compare speed, service mix, price duration, post-promotion cost, equipment and WiFi charges, fees, eligibility, and availability. Include the cost of bundled TV or mobile service you would not otherwise buy.
  5. Check lower-cost eligibility before canceling. If your household may qualify, compare Spectrum Internet Assist with the account offer and your needs.
  6. Get changes confirmed. If you accept a change, ask when it takes effect and request confirmation. If you cancel, follow Spectrum’s current instructions and return equipment as directed; its service-change page links to equipment-return information.

How Spectrum’s listed offers compare

Spectrum’s live prices and terms can change. The following are advertised offers reported at the time the cited Spectrum pages were checked; they are not evidence that an existing customer can receive the same price as a retention offer.

Offer Advertised price and service What to verify
Internet offer 100 Mbps for $30 per month for one year, listed on Spectrum’s Internet plans page. Whether the offer is available at your address, what the price becomes after one year, and any WiFi charges or fees.
Best-deals listing 500 Mbps plus WiFi for $50 per month, listed on Spectrum’s best-deals page. Offer terms, availability, duration, and the complete monthly total.
Best-deals listing 1 Gig plus WiFi for $60 per month, listed on Spectrum’s best-deals page. Offer terms, availability, duration, and the complete monthly total.
Internet Assist 50 Mbps for $25 per month; the program page also lists a possible $15-per-month rate for eligible households. Eligibility, availability, whether the speed fits your household, and any WiFi cost.
Internet Advantage 100 Mbps for $30 per month for one year, listed on Spectrum’s Internet Assist program page. Eligibility and availability, the price after one year, and the full monthly total.

For Internet Assist, Spectrum’s program page names NSLP, CEP of NSLP, and SSI among criteria for the lower rate and lists additional criteria for New York. Confirm your household’s eligibility directly with Spectrum. The page says Advanced WiFi can be added for $10 per month on Internet Assist and Internet Advantage. Spectrum says its Internet plans include a modem, but check the terms for the specific offer you are considering.

  • WIFI 6 COVERAGE FOR THE WHOLE HOME: Stay connected in every room with dual-band AX2700 WiFi 6 covering up to 2,000 sq ft and capacity for 25+ connected devices. Real-world coverage depends on home size, layout, and building materials.

How to judge whether an offer is actually better

  • Use the recurring total. Compare what you will pay each month after applicable equipment, WiFi, and other fees—not just the headline price.
  • Account for the end of a promotion. A one-year offer is only comparable if you know the post-promotion price and how long you expect to keep the service.
  • Match the service to your needs. A lower price may come with a different speed or service mix. Decide whether that change is acceptable before agreeing.
  • Check eligibility and address availability. Advertised pricing and Internet Assist rates are not automatically available to every household or location.
  • Do not treat an advertised new-service price as a retention promise. Spectrum’s listed plans do not establish that an existing customer can get the same offer by calling.

What a call can—and cannot—guarantee

A call gives you a chance to ask what pricing and service options are available for your account. Spectrum’s cited public pages do not promise a standard retention discount or publish an average saving from calling. No particular phrase, cancellation threat, call time, or escalation is shown to guarantee a lower price. Make your decision using the complete offer terms and what service you actually need.
