What is publicly known about Beecham’s connection to Pret
Pret says its first shop opened in London in 1986 and identifies Beecham as one of its founders. In May 2018, Pret announced that JAB would acquire the company from Bridgepoint and other minority shareholders; the company did not disclose the transaction terms.
In April 2024, Pret said Beecham and Larry Benjamin had continued as significant supportive investors since the 2018 acquisition. Pret also said Beecham would not formally rejoin its board. That confirms ongoing investor involvement as described by the company, but it does not disclose a percentage or monetary value for his stake. How to assess net-worth estimates
Online estimates should not be treated as verified facts unless they explain a reliable basis for the number.
