Another financial detail concerns Zepeda’s side, not Stevenson’s purse. Before the bout, The Ring reported promoter Eddie Hearn saying the money was too much for Oscar De La Hoya to reject the matchup on behalf of Zepeda and Golden Boy Promotions.
