Shark Tank India judges Anupam Mittal and Aman Gupta reacted to a reported Shark Tank Pakistan pitch asking for PKR 300 crore for 3% equity. Their comments came during a conversation with influencer Sharan Hegde—not a formal review of the Pakistani series—and Mittal also said economic development across the region is interconnected.
What was the viral Shark Tank Pakistan pitch?
According to The Economic Times, reporting on December 25, 2024, the discussion turned to a contestant who reportedly asked for PKR 300 crore in exchange for a 3% stake. The outlet gave an approximate equivalent of ₹91 crore at the time; that is its reported conversion, not a current exchange-rate calculation.
Hindustan Times also reported the PKR 300 crore request and said the contestant described the amount as “peanuts” for the investors. Neither report identifies the contestant or supplies enough business details to assess the company, its valuation, or the reasoning behind the ask.

Mittal’s reaction to the clips
The Economic Times quoted Mittal saying: “I’ll be honest, I’ve seen some clips and laughed really hard because there are things that are fundamentally technically wrong in terms of the investments and so on.” Hindustan Times reported him asking, “Bhai ho raha kya hai wahan pe? (What is happening there?)” These were reactions to clips and the reported pitch, not a documented assessment of the full series or the business behind that ask.

Gupta said he had watched clips, not full episodes
Hindustan Times reported that Gupta had not watched full episodes of Shark Tank Pakistan; he had seen clips he found interesting. That distinction matters: the exchange does not establish that either judge evaluated the Pakistani show as a whole.
Mittal also connected regional economic growth
In the same conversation, Mittal widened the discussion beyond the pitch. The Economic Times quoted him: “See when you don’t have economic growth, you will create trouble,” and reported that he said it was in India’s interest for Shark Tank Pakistan to inspire productivity. Those are Mittal’s stated views about regional development and the show’s possible influence, not independently verified findings about national productivity or the effects of a television program.
