Ronin Network announced seven studios for its first Ronin Forge cohort on September 19, 2024. Each selected applicant received a grant of $50,000 in RON, according to the announcement. The projects range from MMORPGs and creature-collection games to a battle-royale shooter and a mobile party game. Those descriptions and release dates reflect what Ronin announced in 2024; they do not confirm which games are playable now.
What is Ronin Forge?
Sky Mavis introduced Ronin Forge on June 6, 2024, as an early-access program for Web3 studios building and launching games on Ronin. Its initial offer included grants of up to $50,000 in RON, publishing tools and ecosystem resources, possible mentorship, integration support for services such as Ronin Wallet, Katana DEX and Mavis Market, and access to the Ronin community. Ronin’s program announcement said it initially targeted six teams; the September cohort announcement named seven successful applicants. The announcements do not explain the difference, so it should not be read as evidence of a change in selection policy.
The program page said Sky Mavis might consider further investment or support if a Forge game gained traction. That was a possibility, not a guaranteed investment. The stated applicant profile was a team with a playable beta and a three-to-six-month path to global launch. The original application page was edited on October 7, 2024, to say its previous Typeform was no longer accepting applications; that does not establish whether a successor program is open.
Which seven games joined the first cohort?
The seven projects announced on September 19, 2024, were Pixel Heroes Adventure, Cambria, Kuroro Beasts, Infomon, Xtremeverse, Last Odyssey and Party Icons. Their announced formats and game loops varied substantially:

These descriptions come from Ronin Network’s September 19, 2024 cohort announcement. Where it did not state a platform or mechanism, the table does not infer one.
What did studios receive, and what did Ronin say it looked for?
The September announcement said each of the seven successful applicants received $50,000 USD in RON and access to build on Ronin. The earlier June program description phrased the grant as “up to” $50,000, while the cohort announcement specified the amount for these selected teams.

In a separate publishing article, Sky Mavis identified four traits it sought in partner games: quality, readiness, playability and ambition. It connected those criteria to an engaging game loop, a playable or near-launch build, retention and player feedback, long-term scaling plans, and community alignment. These were Sky Mavis’s stated selection criteria, not an independent evaluation of the seven games. The article also gave examples of other Ronin games, not Forge cohort results: it attributed 967,000 active wallets and 1.4 million hours of play over 13 days to Forgotten Runiverse’s open beta, and more than 14 million transactions and 80% D7 retention to Lumiterra’s Ronin closed-beta period. Those publisher-reported figures should not be attributed to the seven Forge projects. Ronin’s publishing article provides that context.
What does building on Ronin mean for players?
Ronin Forge was presented as a way to bring varied Web3 game experiences into Ronin’s ecosystem, rather than as a single game or genre. The projects included MMORPGs, pet and creature-collection games, a crypto-content companion concept, a battle-royale shooter, a strategy simulation and a party-game universe. The program’s proposed support—publishing resources, possible mentorship and integration help—was intended for studios; it is not itself a promise that a game will be available on every platform or that any particular digital asset will gain value.

For ecosystem context, Sky Mavis reported on July 29, 2024, that Ronin had reached an all-time high of 1.5 million daily active addresses and had more than 3 million Ronin Wallet downloads in the preceding six months. These are historical company-reported figures: wallet downloads are not the same as active users, and neither figure is a current network count. Sky Mavis’s H1 2024 recap gives the dated figures.

The cited official announcements establish what Ronin and Sky Mavis said in 2024, not the present availability of every game, whether each proposed release or beta happened, or the current status of Ronin Forge. For example, the expected 2024 mobile release for Pixel Heroes Adventure and planned Last Odyssey beta were forward-looking statements at the time. The only availability claim in the cohort post was that Battle Xtreme was live when the September 2024 article was published. Current availability and any new application opportunity require newer confirmation.
