Celebrity Net Worth estimates Sean Connery was worth $350 million when he died in 2020. That is a published estimate—not a verified estate balance: the sources available here do not establish an official valuation, asset inventory, or debt schedule.

What was Sean Connery’s net worth?

Celebrity Net Worth puts Connery’s net worth at $350 million at the time of his death in 2020. The site says its figures are estimates based on public sources and may also incorporate private tips; it does not provide a primary estate valuation for Connery. Treat the figure as an attributed media estimate, not a confirmed measure of what his estate held after debts and expenses.

A 2026 article from realestate.com.au repeats the same US-dollar estimate, displaying it as A$504 million. It does not establish that the amount comes from estate records, so the repetition is not independent confirmation or a competing valuation.

How did Connery make his money?

Acting was central to Connery’s career, including his work as James Bond. He appeared in six Eon-produced Bond films and the separate 1983 film Never Say Never Again, according to Forbes and The Guardian. His career and reported film fees help explain why he was considered wealthy, but they are not enough to reconstruct his lifetime assets or net worth.

What is known about his Diamonds Are Forever deal?

The Guardian’s 2020 obituary reports that Connery received a $1 million upfront fee and a weekly salary of $10,000 for returning as Bond in Diamonds Are Forever (1971). It also reports that United Artists committed to finance two films of his choice, and that Connery donated the upfront fee to the Scottish International Education Trust, which he founded. These are reported contract details, not an accounting of his take-home pay, other earnings, investments, taxes, spending, or debts.

Is the $350 million figure verified?

No primary estate valuation or representative-confirmed total is established by the sources cited here. Celebrity Net Worth identifies its figures as estimates, while the later realestate.com.au article repeats the same amount without showing an estate-record basis. Connery’s actual net estate therefore cannot be confirmed from these figures.

Connery died aged 90 on 31 October 2020. A Scottish Government tribute names his wife, Micheline, and sons, Jason and Stefan, among his family. The tribute and the other cited coverage do not document how his estate was distributed. The available evidence does not support naming an heir’s share or saying who inherited a particular amount.
