What happens after the introductory term
A 2-year subscription is paid once at the beginning, according to Surfshark’s pricing FAQ; after the initial subscription expires, billing becomes annual. The renewal charge is not necessarily the introductory rate. Is Surfshark a one-time payment?
No. The initial 2-year term is charged as a single upfront payment, but the subscription renews automatically unless you cancel automatic payments before renewal. Surfshark says it notifies subscribers in advance for subscriptions longer than one month. Its Terms of Service state that paid services renew at the end of each service period and charge the chosen payment method again unless automatic payments are canceled.

- If you bought on Surfshark’s website: Sign in to your Surfshark account and open the subscription or payment controls to cancel auto-renewal. Surfshark’s support instructions describe the account steps.
- If you bought through an app store: Manage or cancel the subscription in the store where you purchased it; the account’s website controls do not manage store billing.
- Check the result: Confirm that renewal is disabled. Cancellation prevents future charges, while access remains available through the current paid period, according to Surfshark Customer Support.
Does Surfshark offer a free trial?
Surfshark advertises a 7-day free trial for eligible first-time users who choose a 12- or 24-month plan. Payment details are required, and the selected plan is charged when the trial ends unless canceled. Eligibility and the applicable checkout terms should be confirmed on Surfshark’s trial page before starting.
What is included in each plan?
The listed prices apply to different tiers—Starter, One and One+—so their monthly equivalents are not a like-for-like comparison. Review the feature list for each tier on the pricing page and select based on the features you need, not just the lowest displayed monthly rate.
