What happened in Saturday Lotto draw #4549?
PerthNow reported that one Western Australian ticket won a Division One prize worth $3.3 million in draw #4549. The ticket was sold at Forest Lakes Newsagency in Thornlie. The winner was not named in the report, and the prize details here are attributed to PerthNow rather than presented as a separately verified official draw record. PerthNow’s report was published on 24 February 2025.
Lotterywest spokesperson James Mooney said: “They say good things come in threes, which I’m sure the owner of this $3.3 million ticket will agree with,”

What did “biggest prize so far this year” mean?
The phrase referred to the period covered by PerthNow’s report: the $3.3 million win was described as the largest prize a WA player had won in a Saturday draw so far in 2025, as of 24 February. It is not a claim about later draws or the largest prize today.
How likely is a Division One win?
Lotterywest’s game page, accessed 8 October 2026, lists Division One odds of 1 in 8,145,060 per standard game and overall odds of winning any prize of 1 in 42 per standard game. These are per-game odds, not the probability for an entire multi-game entry. Lotterywest also says Saturday Lotto is a game of chance: choosing particular numbers does not improve the odds, and each standard game has the same chance.
