Can you still apply for SSC CHSL 2025?
No. Applications opened June 23, 2025 and closed at 23:00 on July 18, 2025. The application window has passed; the 2025 notice is not an open recruitment opportunity.
What happened to the 3,131 vacancies?
The figure was an initial estimate, not a final vacancy count. SSC’s June 2025 notice said, “There are approx. 3131 tentative vacancies,” and explained that the firm number would be determined later. SSC subsequently published an August 2025 tentative-vacancy table and a separate final-vacancy document dated June 18, 2026. Use the later final-vacancy document for the final allocation, rather than presenting 3,131 as the confirmed total.

SSC also says it does not collect state-wise or zone-wise vacancy figures. The notice directs candidates to the relevant user departments for those details; the final-vacancy document repeats this limitation.

What was the planned exam schedule?
SSC’s original notice scheduled Tier I, a computer-based examination, for September 8–18, 2025, and Tier II for February–March 2026. Those were planned dates in the notice and are now historical.

What does the October 7, 2026 result listing confirm?
SSC’s homepage lists “Combined Higher Secondary (10+2) Level Examination, 2025: Declaration of Final Result” dated October 7, 2026. That establishes that SSC posted a final-result notice on that date; the homepage listing alone does not provide marks, cutoffs, the number of selected candidates, individual outcomes, or appointment status. Candidates seeking their own result information should consult the official result notice and relevant SSC candidate portal.
