A Saturday Lotto ticket sold at The Lucky Charm in Pinjarra was reported as unclaimed on 26 February 2024, with the prize estimated at about $1.3 million. That is the status PerthNow reported on that date; the available sources do not establish whether the ticket was later claimed.
What was reported about the Pinjarra ticket
PerthNow reported that the ticket was one of five Division One winners across Australia sharing a Saturday Lotto prize pool of $5 million. Its article identified The Lucky Charm as the Pinjarra retailer that sold the ticket and described the local share as about $1.3 million. PerthNow’s report, published 26 February 2024, quoted store office manager Katinka Wyllie saying, “Pinjarra is a buzz today,” and that people were wondering whether the winner was local or passing through.
The report captures the ticket’s status when the story was published. It does not confirm the eventual outcome, and Lotterywest’s general claim information does not identify this particular ticket. It would therefore be inaccurate to describe the prize as still unclaimed today.
How Lotterywest says Division One prizes are claimed
Lotterywest’s current general guidance says Division One prizes must be claimed at Lotterywest Head Office during office hours. Claims are subject to a 14-day validation period, and the general claim period is 12 months from the draw date. These are general rules, not confirmation of what happened to the Pinjarra ticket. See Lotterywest’s prize-claim information.

Checking a ticket and claiming a Division One prize are separate steps. Lotterywest provides ways to check physical tickets, including at a retailer or with its ticket checker; online or app entries can be checked by logging into the relevant account. A result check does not replace the Head Office claim process for a Division One prize.
Saturday Lotto odds and draw format
Lotterywest says Saturday Lotto draws six winning numbers and two supplementary numbers from a barrel of 45. With one standard game, its published odds are 1 in 8,145,060 of matching the Division One numbers and 1 in 42 of winning any prize division. Lotterywest says there is no skill or strategy that changes the chance of winning. These figures describe the game generally, not the likelihood that the particular Pinjarra ticket was claimed. Details are on Lotterywest’s Saturday Lotto page.
