Sanjay Dutt’s net worth is commonly reported at approximately Rs 295 crore, but that figure is a media estimate—not a confirmed or audited total. The reports reviewed do not show how it was calculated, what liabilities were included, or how much of his business and property interests he owns.
What is Sanjay Dutt’s net worth?
Moneycontrol reported the estimate on July 29, 2026, attributing it to Financial Express. The Indian Express had reported the same approximate figure on July 29, 2025, also attributing it to Financial Express. Neither article provides an underlying calculation, audited financial statement, complete asset list, liability schedule or ownership breakdown. The figure should therefore be read as a reported estimate, not a verified personal balance sheet. Moneycontrol; The Indian Express.
What is reported to contribute to his wealth?
Moneycontrol describes acting as Dutt’s primary profession and also names investments, real estate and business ventures as contributors. The article does not quantify how much any one category adds to the reported total. It also cites several reports placing his fee at Rs 8 crore to Rs 15 crore per film, but does not identify those underlying reports; that range is not a reliable basis for calculating annual income or net worth.
Property and reported vehicles
Moneycontrol reports that Dutt’s Pali Hill apartment in Bandra is estimated at about Rs 40 crore, citing The Times of India. The Indian Express also relays that estimate. The Indian Express says the exact value of his Dubai residence is not publicly available. Neither property figure establishes a current independently verified market value or the amount of equity Dutt holds in the property.

Media reports also list luxury cars and motorcycles associated with Dutt. The Indian Express names vehicles including a Rolls-Royce Ghost, Ferrari 599 GTB, Audi R8, Audi Q7 and Range Rover Autobiography, as well as a Harley-Davidson Fat Boy and Ducati Multistrada. These reports are not proof of current ownership, and listed prices are not current valuations; they should not be added up as confirmed assets. The Indian Express’s account of reported assets.
Business and investment interests
The Indian Express reports that Dutt co-owned B-Love Kandy, a team that competed in the 2023 Lanka Premier League. It also lists an investment of Rs 4 crore in DawnTown, citing GQ; a stake in Cyber Media India; The Glenwalk whisky venture with Cartel & Bros; the production banners Sanjay Dutt Productions and Three Dimension Motion Pictures; and the Dubai online chai and street-food brand Dutts’ Franktea.
The article does not specify Dutt’s ownership percentage, the current value of these interests, or whether they are profitable. Their existence therefore helps explain the kinds of activities cited in coverage of his wealth, but does not establish how much they contribute to the Rs 295 crore estimate. The Indian Express.

Should the reported Rs 72 crore bequest be included?
No. The Indian Express reported that a fan left Dutt property said to be worth Rs 72 crore and that Dutt said he returned it to the fan’s family. The article quoted him saying, “I gave it back to the family.” A returned bequest is not evidence of wealth he retained and should not be added to his assets or used to explain the Rs 295 crore estimate. The Indian Express on the reported bequest.
Why the estimate remains uncertain
The available coverage repeats an approximate figure and reports selected assets and business interests, but does not publish the records needed to verify a personal net-worth calculation. In particular, it does not establish liabilities, exact ownership shares, current asset values, or the methodology behind the estimate. A property estimate, a reported investment and a list of vehicles are not interchangeable with a complete balance sheet.
