The SSC MTS 2020 tentative answer key and candidate response sheets were released on 12 November 2021, after Paper-I was held from 5 October to 2 November 2021. The final answer keys and question papers followed on 14 March 2022. SSC’s stated access period for the final materials ended on 13 April 2022, so a current download for an individual candidate is not confirmed.
SSC MTS 2020 answer key release dates
“2020” identifies the examination cycle; it does not mean the test was held that year. SSC scheduled Paper-I from 5 October to 2 November 2021. The Commission made the tentative answer keys and candidates’ response sheets available on 12 November 2021.
Those tentative materials were accessed through candidate login using the examination roll number and password. SSC’s 12 November 2021 notice announced their availability.
Tentative and final answer keys: what was different?
| Stage | What SSC made available | Purpose and access |
|---|---|---|
| Tentative key | Answer key and candidate response sheet | Candidate login; candidates could submit representations during the specified challenge window. |
| Final key | Final answer key and question paper | Posted after SSC reviewed representations; the final keys were used for evaluation. |
SSC said it examined candidates’ representations and modified answer keys where necessary. The final key was therefore distinct from the tentative key candidates could challenge.

SSC published the final answer keys with the respective question papers on 14 March 2022. Its notice allowed access from 14 March at 4:00 PM through 13 April 2022 at 4:00 PM. That published period has passed. The official final-key notice documents the release and dates.
SSC’s legacy answer-key page directs visitors to its new portal, but the reviewed official notices do not establish that the 2020 candidate-specific response sheet or answer key can still be downloaded. Do not treat an old login link as a confirmed working download. You can check SSC’s answer-key page for current directions; availability of this historical material is not guaranteed.

What to do if you need your old response sheet
- Check SSC’s current answer-key page for any available historical notices or portal directions.
- If the candidate-specific file is no longer offered, contact SSC through its official channels to ask whether an archived copy can be provided.
- Keep your roll number and examination details available when making an inquiry. The original login required a roll number and password, but the notices do not confirm that those credentials can retrieve the 2020-cycle files today.
