The SECL Apprentice 2024 application window is closed. South Eastern Coalfields Limited (SECL) invited applications for 1,425 Graduate and Technician Apprentice seats for FY 2023-24, with a deadline of February 27, 2024. The application steps below are retained as a historical guide; they cannot be used to apply now.
Is SECL recruitment 2024 still open?
No. The deadline for the FY 2023-24 intake was February 27, 2024, at midnight. SECL’s 2023-24 Annual Report said the recruitment process was underway and expected to be completed by July 2024. That is a historical forecast, not confirmation of final selection results. The current SECL apprenticeship portal is a login page and does not indicate that applications for this intake remain open.
For a later opening, check SECL’s official website and apprenticeship portal for a new notice. Do not submit personal information through an old application link or assume the 2024 form is active.
How many apprentice posts were announced?

The largest single allocation was 900 Technician seats in Mining Engineering / Mining and Mine Surveying. The graduate and technician totals are sums of the stream allocations in the notice.
What qualifications were required?
Contemporaneous reporting of the notice described the basic qualification split as a four-year engineering degree in the relevant discipline for Graduate Apprentices, or a three-year relevant engineering diploma for Technician Apprentices, or an equivalent government-recognized qualification. The notice text invited candidates from government-approved, recognized institutes and reported a minimum age of 18 as of February 13, 2024.

How to apply for SECL Apprentice 2024?
The following describes the route applicants were told to use before the deadline; it is not a current application procedure.
- Visit SECL’s official website.
- Open Human Resources, then go to Manpower > HRD > Apprentice.
- Select the FY 2023-24 Apprentice application link.
- Register on NATS 2.0, then proceed to SECL’s application form.
- Choose the post or discipline, complete the form, upload the requested documents, and submit it.
- Save or print a copy of the submitted form for reference.
The notice said the SECL application form was linked through a Google Form on the company website and required NATS 2.0 registration. It did not accept applications by post or other modes. The final deadline was February 27, 2024, at midnight.
How were applicants to be shortlisted?
Contemporaneous reporting said the date of passing the engineering degree or diploma was the basis for shortlisting, followed by document verification and medical fitness for provisionally selected applicants. The exact tie-break sequence and verification dates are not confirmed in the official material available here, so they should not be inferred from that summary.

What happened after the announcement?
SECL’s 2023-24 Annual Report records that six apprentices were engaged during that financial year and says the 1,425-apprentice notification process was still underway, with completion expected by July 2024. The six engagements are not the final outcome of the 1,425-seat drive; the report does not establish the eventual number selected under this notification.
