What was the correction window?
The correction window ran from 10 to 11 August 2024, ending at 11:00 p.m. on the second day. According to the SSC notice, access was for candidates whose completed applications had been received within the allowed application period. The correction window was not an additional opportunity to submit a new application.
What was the application fee?
The SSC notice set the application fee at ₹100. It exempted women, candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC) and Scheduled Tribes (ST), persons with disabilities (PwD), and eligible ex-servicemen. The PIB release also reported a ₹100 fee. The SSC notice stated that candidates were responsible for ensuring the fee was received; an unpaid application could remain incomplete and be rejected.
What did “17,727 posts” refer to?
Careers360 reported the extended deadline alongside a figure of 17,727 vacancies. That figure should be understood as the number reported at the time, not as a verified final vacancy count: the cited material does not establish whether SSC later revised it. The available official notice and government release cited here do not provide a vacancy history that resolves that question.
