Is the SSC Phase 12 last date today?
No. The official notification for Advertisement No. Phase-XII/2024/Selection Posts set the online application period at 26 February–18 March 2024, with applications due by 23:00 hours on 18 March. The headline’s “today” and “apply now” wording does not describe the current status.
The notice specified 19 March 2024 at 23:00 hours as the online fee-payment deadline and 22–24 March 2024, up to 23:00 hours, as the application correction window. Those dates have passed.

Can you still apply for Phase-XII/2024?
No. The application window for fresh candidates is closed. SSC Northern Region pages list Phase-XII/2024 results, selection records and document-verification activity in 2026. That indicates later-stage selection activity, not a reopened application window; the regional notices do not establish that every post has completed appointment.
The original notice listed the computer-based examination for 6–8 May 2024 as tentative. That was the schedule in the original notification, not a current exam date.
Where to check for a current SSC Selection Posts opening
- Start with SSC’s official site. Check the Staff Selection Commission website and its notices for a later Selection Posts phase. Official pages include Phase-XIV/2026 activity.
- Open the notice for the exact phase. Confirm its application dates, fee deadline, correction window and exam schedule in that notice. Dates from Phase-XII/2024 do not apply to a later phase.
- Check post-level requirements. SSC’s Phase-XII notice directs candidates to post-specific details in its annexures. Do not assume one educational qualification or age limit applies to every Selection Post.
- Review updates to the notice. Check for corrigenda or cancellation notices before relying on a post’s details or vacancy count.
