Eligibility and selection route
Applicants needed to have appeared in GATE-2024 in one of the listed disciplines. SAIL’s FAQ says candidates had to qualify in GATE-2024 in the relevant discipline and submit an application to SAIL to be considered for further selection.

SAIL’s FAQ confirms that GATE scores or marks, group discussion and interview marks contributed to selection, but the available FAQ extract does not establish the precise weighting among them. The detailed advertisement is identified as Advt. No. PER/REC/C-96/MTT/2024, dated July 5, 2024.
Deadline and application link status
The application deadline reported at the time was July 25, 2024. The contemporaneous Scroll report linked to SAIL’s careers site and the application page, but those links relate to an expired recruitment cycle and should not be treated as an invitation to apply.

That specific list is not the total number selected; it does confirm the recruitment had progressed beyond applications.
