A reliable current figure for Ron Pratte’s net worth has not been established in the cited authoritative sources. Barrett-Jackson reported that his collection sold for more than $40.44 million at its 2015 Scottsdale auction, but that is a collection sale total—not a calculation of Pratte’s personal wealth.
Is Ron Pratte’s net worth publicly known?
The available Barrett-Jackson reporting does not provide a current net-worth estimate or a personal balance sheet for Pratte. It identifies him as a businessman and car collector, but does not substantiate his current business holdings, other assets, liabilities, taxes, transaction costs, or the amount he retained from the auction.
As a result, a specific net-worth figure cannot be confirmed from these sources. The distinction matters: an auction’s gross sale total says what items sold for, not the seller’s overall financial position.
How much did the Ron Pratte Collection sell for?
Barrett-Jackson reported more than $40.44 million in vehicle and automobilia sales for the collection at its 2015 Scottsdale auction. Its retrospective describes a collection of more than 140 cars, trucks, and motorcycles, along with more than 1,500 pieces of authentic automobilia. The sale total is historical and applies to those auction items, not to Pratte’s net worth. Barrett-Jackson’s collection retrospective and its January 18, 2015 auction report both report the collection sales figure.

Barrett-Jackson’s retrospective identifies two headline vehicle prices:

These are prices for individual vehicles reported in connection with the 2015 collection sale. Neither price, alone or combined, establishes Pratte’s net worth.
Was the GM Futurliner sale part of Pratte’s personal proceeds?
The 1950 GM Futurliner is a separate charity-sale case. Barrett-Jackson says Pratte bought it in 2006 with a winning bid of $4.4 million. At the 2015 auction, it sold for $4 million and generated an additional $650,000 in donations for the Armed Forces Foundation. The donations were charitable funds, not money to describe as retained by Pratte. Barrett-Jackson’s account of the Futurliner sales connects the 2015 sale to that fundraising effort.

In a 2014 announcement, Barrett-Jackson described Pratte as a businessman and car collector and said he had built the majority of his collection through Barrett-Jackson auctions. The announcement concerned the planned 2015 sale; it does not establish his current business interests or provide a financial valuation. The May 29, 2014 announcement gives that limited background.
