The FY2026 release is the latest full-year total cited here. Eicher Motors’ media index lists later monthly releases, but monthly updates are not a substitute for a comparable annual total.

Royal Enfield reported 107,143 exports in FY2025, alongside 902,757 domestic sales. In FY2026, exports rose to 131,316 while domestic sales reached 1,107,343. The reported 23% growth rate applied to both categories in FY2026; the annual release does not, by itself, explain what caused the increase.

What do the model milestones say about the sales growth?
The FY2025 announcement said cumulative sales of the Hunter 350 had passed 500,000 and the Super Meteor 650 had exceeded 50,000. These are lifetime model milestones reported in that release, not each model’s annual sales, and they do not quantify how much either contributed to the year’s overall growth.
Managing Director of Eicher Motors and Chief Executive Officer of Royal Enfield B. Govindarajan called the year “nothing short of extraordinary” in the April 1, 2025 release. That is management’s characterization of the result, not independent evidence about its causes.
Do these results prove Royal Enfield defied motorcycle market trends?
No—not on their own. The figures establish that Royal Enfield’s reported sales increased from FY2024 to FY2025 and again in FY2026. They do not establish that the company grew faster than the wider motorcycle market, gained share, or moved against an industry decline.
That comparison would require industry sales data covering the same fiscal periods, geography, and motorcycle segment. Without a matched baseline, “defying motorcycle market trends” is a framing claim rather than a conclusion demonstrated by these company-specific releases.
