Business Standard reported an age range of 18 to 40 years as of 1 January 2025, with relaxations for eligible categories. The exact relaxation rules and qualifying conditions should be taken from the relevant official advertisement, rather than inferred from the general age range.
Fees
Scroll reported an application fee of Rs 600 for OBC/EBC applicants in the General and Creamy Layer categories, and Rs 400 for OBC/EBC non-Creamy Layer, EWS, SC, ST, and Divyaangjan applicants in Rajasthan. These are figures from contemporaneous reporting and should not be treated as definitive without checking the applicable official notice.
Did eligibility and the exam pattern vary by post?
Yes. The contemporaneous coverage says qualifications, post conditions, exam pattern, and syllabus could differ by post. It is therefore unsafe to assume that one engineering qualification or one syllabus applied to every JEN vacancy. Do not use the 2024 deadline, vacancy total, fee, age reference date, or exam information to make a 2026 application decision.
