What happened to the 574-post application window?
RPSC’s advertisement for Assistant Professor posts in the College Education Department is dated 18 September 2025. It announced 574 vacancies across 30 subjects and said that candidates who had applied earlier were required to submit a fresh application. The application period ran from 20 September through 19 October 2025. A contemporaneous report gave 29 October 2025 as the editing deadline. These dates have passed; this is not an open application cycle.
For a new schedule or recruitment, use the official RPSC notice and check the commission’s current notices rather than relying on an old application link.
How candidates applied in this recruitment
The prescribed route was the Apply Online link on the RPSC website or Rajasthan SSO’s Recruitment Portal. The state portal describes itself as a unified service for state recruitment, including one-time registration and candidate services such as recruitment lifecycle information and DigiLocker/e-Vault integration. The portal description does not mean this expired RPSC application can still be submitted.

For this notice, RPSC instructed candidates to print the application and examination-fee receipt after submission. Applicants were also advised to check their details carefully, provide contact information where they could receive updates, and retain a printout.
What were the application fees?
The advertisement’s examination fees varied by category and domicile. The listed amounts were ₹350 for general, EWS and specified creamy-layer categories; ₹250 for Rajasthan non-creamy-layer OBC/MBC applicants; and ₹150 for specified persons with disabilities, Rajasthan SC/ST applicants and qualifying low-income applicants. The notice includes additional conditions, including for applicants from outside Rajasthan and for the low-income fee provision.

Because category and domicile rules affect the amount—and the Hindi fee table may be difficult to interpret in text extraction—check the original advertisement for your circumstances rather than assuming an amount applies to you.
What was the selection and exam pattern?
The selection process in the 2025 notice comprised a written examination followed by an interview. The written examination was worth 200 marks in total, and the interview was worth 24 marks.

Under the notice, candidates up to three times the category-wise vacancy count could be called for interview if they met the commission’s qualifying threshold. The three-times figure is a potential shortlisting limit, not a guarantee that every qualifying candidate would be interviewed.
What correction rules applied?
The notice allowed online corrections during the application period and for ten days after its deadline, subject to a ₹300 charge. It also described a further correction opportunity after the first examination stage, with a separate process and fee. These were rules for Advertisement No. 10/2025-26, not a promise that a future RPSC recruitment will use the same deadlines or charges. Check the applicable advertisement for current correction provisions.

How should candidates prepare if a later notice is issued?
For this exam structure, preparation materials should match the candidate’s subject papers and cover Rajasthan general studies. Before using a guide or course, compare its syllabus and edition date with the syllabus and rules in the relevant RPSC notice. No particular book or provider was identified as officially recommended.
RPSC’s 2025 advertisement is the primary source for this cycle’s conditions. The Rajasthan Recruitment Portal describes the state’s recruitment services, while Jagran Josh’s 24 September 2025 report recorded the application dates.
