TikTok’s current creator monetization program is the Creator Rewards Program, not the old Creator Fund. TikTok’s published baseline requires at least 10,000 followers and 100,000 video views in the previous 30 days, along with other account conditions. To earn rewards, an individual video must also be original, high-quality and longer than one minute; meeting any single threshold does not guarantee acceptance or payment.
What TikTok requires to apply
TikTok’s March 18, 2024 announcement lists these account-level eligibility conditions:
- You must be at least 18 years old.
- You must have at least 10,000 followers.
- Your videos must have received at least 100,000 views in the previous 30 days.
- You must have a personal account in good standing.
- You must be in a market where the program is available.
These are separate requirements. Having 10,000 followers does not make an account eligible if it falls short of the recent-view threshold or another condition. TikTok describes the published baseline in its Creator Rewards Program announcement; check the app for your account’s current eligibility and any local requirements.
Which videos can earn rewards
Account eligibility and video eligibility are different. TikTok says videos that qualify for rewards must be original, high-quality and longer than one minute. A video exactly one minute long does not meet that wording.

TikTok says its rewards formula focuses on originality, play duration, search value and audience engagement. Play duration includes watch time and finish rate; engagement can include likes, comments and shares. The announcement does not set a universal payout per view, follower or video length, so crossing an eligibility threshold should not be treated as a promise of earnings.
Why “Creator Fund” is outdated
TikTok announced in March 2024 that its Creativity Program was leaving beta as the Creator Rewards Program. The Creator Fund is the name of its predecessor, not the current program. TikTok’s program announcement explains the current name and requirements; its historical Creator Fund FAQ refers to the earlier program.

Availability and checking your status
TikTok limits eligibility to markets where the program is available, so the published criteria should not be read as a guarantee that every creator worldwide can join. Local rules can also vary. For example, TikTok’s October 1, 2025 Mexico launch announcement specified that applicants must reside in Mexico and have a public personal account, in addition to adult age and the 10,000-follower and 100,000-views thresholds. That example is specific to Mexico, not a global rule.
To see whether the program is available to you, check the Monetization or TikTok Studio area in your TikTok app. TikTok points creators to TikTok Studio in its Mexico launch information. App labels and eligibility status can change, so use the options shown on your account rather than relying on a threshold summary alone.

What the one-minute focus does—and does not—mean
In its March 2024 announcement, TikTok said that 50% of community viewing time was spent watching videos longer than one minute. That is TikTok’s own platform-reported figure, not an independent measurement. It offers context for the program’s duration requirement, but it does not mean longer videos automatically earn more or that viewers will watch any particular creator’s longer content.
