A pre-launch leak put India prices for the realme 16 Pro 5G and realme 16 Pro+ 5G between ₹31,999 and ₹44,999, but those figures were not confirmed prices in the original report—and later reporting documented increases. The ₹7,999 backpack was described as a pre-booking benefit, not a confirmed offer still available today. Here are the dated figures and what to check before paying.
What were the leaked realme 16 Pro Series prices?
On January 2, 2026, Moneycontrol reported prices attributed to tipster Paras Guglani. They were leak-era expectations published before launch, not an official price list in that report.
| Model | RAM and storage | Leaked expected price in India |
|---|---|---|
| realme 16 Pro 5G | 8GB + 128GB | ₹31,999 |
| realme 16 Pro 5G | 8GB + 256GB | ₹33,999 |
| realme 16 Pro 5G | 12GB + 256GB | ₹36,999 |
| realme 16 Pro+ 5G | 8GB + 128GB | ₹39,999 |
| realme 16 Pro+ 5G | 8GB + 256GB | ₹41,999 |
| realme 16 Pro+ 5G | 12GB + 256GB | ₹44,999 |
Moneycontrol’s January 2 report is the source for these six leak figures. Realme India later published an official price-reveal video on January 6, but the retrieved description does not enumerate prices. It said sales for the 16 Series would start January 9 at noon. The official video therefore confirms a reveal and sale date, not the numerical table above.
Realme India’s official price-reveal video is dated January 6, 2026.

What prices were reported later?
Leak-era figures should not be treated as current checkout prices. 91mobiles reported revised India prices effective May 18, 2026. These later figures are also dated secondary reporting, not a live quote.
| Model | RAM and storage | Reported price effective May 18, 2026 |
|---|---|---|
| realme 16 Pro 5G | 8GB + 128GB | Not stated in the 91mobiles report |
| realme 16 Pro 5G | 8GB + 256GB | ₹39,999 |

| realme 16 Pro+ 5G | 8GB + 256GB | ₹48,999 |
| realme 16 Pro+ 5G | 12GB + 256GB | ₹52,999 |
The ₹128GB Pro price is marked “not stated” because the cited revision report does not give one. See 91mobiles’ report on the revised prices for the dated figures. Realme’s terms say prices, offers, specifications and availability may change or be withdrawn without notice, so compare the exact variant and final cart total at purchase.

Was the ₹7,999 backpack offer confirmed?
Gizmochina reported on December 31, 2025, that pre-booking the phone came with a free backpack valued at ₹7,999. Its report also listed a 10% instant discount capped at ₹4,000, zero down payment and 12-month no-cost EMI. These were described as launch-period incentives; the source does not establish that they remain available now, nor was an official offer document confirming the backpack terms established here. The “$89” in the headline is a contemporaneous approximate conversion, not a US price or suggested retail price.
Gizmochina’s December 31, 2025 report describes the historical pre-booking offer. Treat the promotion’s dates, eligibility and conditions as applicable to that launch period, rather than assuming it can be claimed today.

What to check before buying
A reported price is not necessarily the amount you will pay. Confirm the selected phone, memory configuration and seller, then inspect the payment conditions and total at checkout.
- Model and variant: Check whether the listing is for the 16 Pro or 16 Pro+, and verify RAM and storage. The official India specification page lists three Pro configurations: 8GB+128GB, 8GB+256GB and 12GB+256GB.
- Seller and warranty region: Confirm who sells the handset and that the warranty applies in your region. The Realme India store catalogue lists both models, but a listing alone does not establish a current transaction price.
- Offer eligibility: Check the dates and terms for any bank discount, exchange value or EMI plan. A discount may depend on a specific card or financing option and may not combine with other offers.
- Final checkout total: Compare the selected variant’s price after applicable discounts and charges; do not assume a leak figure or old launch promotion is the price available today.
The official realme 16 Pro 5G product page identifies a 200MP main camera, 7000mAh battery, 80W charging and Dimensity 7300-Max chipset. Its specifications also list a 144Hz AMOLED display, 8MP ultra-wide rear camera, 50MP front camera, Wi-Fi 6 and realme UI 7.0. These are Pro specifications; they should not be assumed to describe the Pro+ identically. Realme notes that specifications and radio bands can vary by market.
