The iPhone 17 Pro wait times reported in September 2025 are historical, not current delivery promises. On September 16, TechRadar estimated waits of 1–3 weeks for the Pro and 3–4 weeks for the Pro Max in the U.S.; estimates overlapped in the UK and Australia. Apple has since introduced the iPhone 18 Pro and no longer lists the 17 Pro models on its buying page, so buyers now need to check remaining retailer or carrier stock directly.
iPhone 17 Pro delivery estimates in September 2025
TechRadar’s snapshot from September 16, 2025 gave these estimated delivery ranges for orders placed at that time. They varied by color and configuration and could change; they were not guarantees or evidence that every configuration was unavailable.
| Market | iPhone 17 Pro | iPhone 17 Pro Max |
|---|---|---|
| U.S. | 1–3 weeks | 3–4 weeks |
| UK | 2–3 weeks | 1–4 weeks |
| Australia | 1–3 weeks | 1–4 weeks |
Source for all estimates: TechRadar, September 16, 2025. The U.S. snapshot showed a longer range for the Pro Max, while the UK and Australian ranges overlapped. These figures do not establish total demand or explain what caused any delay.
When the iPhone 17 Pro launched
Apple announced the iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max on September 9, 2025. Preorders opened September 12, with initial-market availability starting September 19. Apple said availability would expand to 22 additional countries and regions on September 26. Those were official launch dates, separate from the estimated shipping windows reported by TechRadar.

Apple’s launch announcement lists the Pro with a 6.3-inch display and 256GB, 512GB, or 1TB storage. The Pro Max has a 6.9-inch display and was offered with 256GB, 512GB, 1TB, or 2TB storage. When comparing models, consider the larger Pro Max size and whether its additional storage option matters to you, alongside the price and what is actually available.
Can you still buy an iPhone 17 Pro?
As of October 8, 2026, Apple has announced the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max, and its current iPhone buying page no longer lists the 17 Pro models. MacRumors reported that Apple discontinued them after the new-generation announcement. That does not rule out remaining stock at third-party retailers or carriers, but no specific seller inventory or current delivery window is established here.

If you find a listing, verify the seller, whether the phone is new or refurbished, the exact model and storage configuration, and the delivery estimate for your location before buying. Apple Support lists the iPhone 17 Pro as introduced in 2025 and gives it an IP68 rating under IEC 60529 based on controlled laboratory testing; that rating is not a guarantee against liquid damage.
