Netflix and the Venice Biennale identify the film and its principal performers, but the official sources cited here do not publish their personal financial statements or comparable salary figures. A precise ranking would therefore present unverified estimates as fact.
Why a verified net-worth ranking is not possible
Net worth means a person’s assets minus liabilities. It is not the same as career earnings, a single film’s salary, or the budget of a production. The official film and festival sources cited here identify the cast, but they do not provide audited statements or comparable figures for the performers’ finances. That leaves no sound basis for ordering the ensemble by personal wealth.
Celebrity-net-worth figures published online are third-party estimates, not verified financial disclosures. Unless a publisher explains its sources and method, and the figure can be independently checked, it should not be treated as a precise measure. The evidence available here does not establish a defensible estimate-based ranking either.
Who is in Frankenstein (2025)?
Netflix presents the film as Guillermo del Toro’s adaptation of Mary Shelley’s story. Its listed principal cast includes Oscar Isaac, Jacob Elordi, Mia Goth, Christoph Waltz, Charles Dance, Felix Kammerer, David Bradley, Lars Mikkelsen, and Christian Convery. The Venice Biennale’s 2025 festival entry also lists the main ensemble. Netflix identifies Isaac as Victor Frankenstein and Elordi as the Creature.

This is the 2025 film, not the 1931 Frankenstein or another screen adaptation. Netflix’s official film listing is Netflix’s Frankenstein title page; availability may vary by region. The festival listing is on the Venice Biennale website.
What the film’s reported $120 million budget does—and does not—tell you
The Associated Press described del Toro’s film as a $120 million epic for Netflix. That is a reported production-budget figure, not an actor’s salary, the cast’s combined earnings, or anyone’s personal net worth. A production budget covers the making of a film; it cannot be divided among performers to derive their compensation or wealth.
Rank #2
The AP also quoted del Toro describing his approach: “I wanted a handmade movie of an epic scale.” The comment appears in the report’s discussion of the film’s sets, wardrobe, design, and props. Read the Associated Press report.
How to assess net-worth claims about the cast
If you encounter a list claiming to rank these actors, check what each number actually measures before comparing it. A lifetime net-worth estimate and a reported payment for one production are not interchangeable, and estimates from different publishers may use different methods or dates.
Rank #3
- Find the publisher and date. A number without a named source or publication date is difficult to evaluate.
- Check the basis. Look for disclosed records or a clear method, rather than an unexplained figure repeated across websites.
- Separate wealth from earnings. A reported salary is compensation for particular work; it does not establish a person’s assets, debts, or net worth.
- Compare like with like. Do not treat estimates with different definitions, dates, or evidence as a precise ranking.
The novel behind the film
For readers interested in the source material, Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein is the novel adapted for del Toro’s film, as identified by Netflix and the Venice Biennale. The film is listed on Netflix. A Criterion page describes supplementary craft conversations with del Toro, actors, and crew, but that page alone does not establish that a physical edition is currently for sale.
