Punjab announced two separate fuel-relief measures in April 2026: a diesel subsidy for eligible wheat farmers and a monthly petrol benefit for registered motorcycle owners. The petrol offer was not reported as farmer-only. The announcements described the benefits, but the reports reviewed do not establish whether applications are currently open or provide complete deadlines and document requirements.

The two measures have different fuels, eligibility criteria and benefit calculations. Do not assume that owning farmland qualifies someone for the motorcycle offer, or that the diesel subsidy covers every farmer or crop.
Diesel subsidy: wheat farmers with up to 25 acres
Reported amount and eligibility
Radio Pakistan and the Associated Press of Pakistan reported on April 4, 2026, that Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz announced diesel assistance for wheat growers with landholdings up to 25 acres. The announced rate was Rs 150 per litre on 10 litres of diesel per acre. This is a per-acre basis; the reports do not establish a maximum total payment for an individual farmer.
An April 20 APP report added an implementation condition: only registered farmers holding Kissan Cards could benefit, and unregistered people were not eligible under the policy as described in that report. Because this is a reported condition rather than a complete current rulebook, confirm the live eligibility requirements before relying on it.

Program figures and reported registration routes
APP reported on April 7 that the diesel program was valued at Rs 23 billion and that around four million farmers were expected to benefit. That report said farmers could register by calling 1000 or using an official portal, and described direct transfers to accounts of more than 800,000 Kissan Card holders. These are figures and implementation details reported on April 7, not a guarantee of current funding, enrollment or payment status.
On April 20, APP reported that Rs 1.6 billion had been released under the diesel subsidy project. This amount concerns funds released by that date; it is not the same measure as the Rs 23 billion program value reported on April 7.

Petrol benefit: registered motorcycle owners
Radio Pakistan reported on April 4, 2026, that a monthly subsidy worth Rs 2,000 would be provided for 20 litres of petrol for each registered motorcycle. The report described it as relief for registered motorcycle owners generally, not expressly as a benefit limited to farmers. It also reported exemptions from bike registration and transfer fees.
The reported benefit is a monthly subsidy, not a statement that 20 litres of petrol are dispensed free at a pump. Radio Pakistan listed these information channels:

The report does not specify a current application deadline, payment mechanism or required documents. Check through the listed government channels to confirm whether the offer and its terms remain active.
How to verify the current application details
- For diesel assistance, ask Helpline 1000 or check the current official Punjab portal for the diesel scheme. APP reported these routes on April 7; its April 20 report said Kissan Card registration was required.
- For motorcycle petrol relief, use Helpline 1000, the Maryam Ko Batayn app or mkb.punjab.gov.pk, the channels Radio Pakistan listed on April 4.
- Confirm the live rules before applying. Ask whether applications are open, what eligibility and documents apply, and how any payment is made. The dated reports do not establish current deadlines or a complete document checklist.
- Use a verified government channel before sharing personal or banking information. Do not rely on an application link or payment claim unless it can be confirmed through an official service.

- April 4, 2026: Radio Pakistan and APP reported the diesel announcement for eligible wheat farmers; Radio Pakistan also reported the motorcycle petrol benefit.
