Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute2Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors3Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesQA outsourcing companies can supply a few specialists, a dedicated product-testing team, or a managed service that plans and runs testing. Choose the work and accountability you need before comparing providers: a long list of testing services does not establish that a company fits your software, security requirements, release process, or budget.
What QA outsourcing covers
A provider may handle test strategy and planning, test-case design, manual and exploratory testing, regression testing, automation development or maintenance, API and contract testing, performance and security testing, mobile testing, release checks, defect reporting, and retesting. The contract—not the phrase “QA outsourcing”—defines what is included.
Quality assurance can include process design and defect prevention; testing execution is often called quality control. Providers may offer both. In a request for proposal (RFP), specify whether you need process improvement, testing work, or both, and name the deliverables you expect.
Choose an engagement model
The key distinction is who directs the work, who owns the testing process and outcomes, and whether you are buying capacity or a defined service.

| Model | What you buy | Useful when | Clarify before signing |
|---|---|---|---|
| Staff augmentation | Individual testers or specialists who join your team and work under your direction. | Your team already runs QA and needs additional capacity or a specific skill. | Who assigns and reviews work, how the specialist fits your routines, and how long the need is expected to last. |
| Dedicated team | A stable group working continuously on your product. | You need ongoing capacity and want a team to build product knowledge over time. | Who directs daily work, owns test strategy, and is accountable for quality outcomes. |
| Project-based testing | A defined testing assignment for a release, application, or project, with agreed deliverables and timing. | The work has a bounded scope and timeline. | Scope, acceptance criteria, schedule, and how changes affect fees. |
| Managed testing | A provider-led workflow that may cover strategy, planning, execution, reporting, and quality gates. | You want the provider to take responsibility for more of the testing function. | Specific outcomes, service levels, decision rights, and escalation paths; “managed” alone does not define accountability. |
Compare candidates against the same requirements, including start time, pricing structure, expected time-zone overlap, and the balance between buyer direction and provider ownership. The labels can vary between companies, so compare the actual work and responsibilities rather than the name of a package.
Illustrative providers—not a ranking
These examples show different service shapes; the available information does not establish a universal “best” company or a like-for-like comparison of independently verified customer outcomes.
DeviQA
DeviQA’s service page describes outsourced QA for web, mobile, IoT, wearables, cloud, embedded, and point-of-sale systems. Its listed work includes manual and automated, functional, compatibility, performance, security, usability, localization, exploratory, regression, release, accessibility, load, and stress testing. The company says clients can engage individual engineers, a dedicated team, or end-to-end outsourced testing. It also reports 300+ QA engineers, 500+ projects, and customer outcome percentages. Those are company-published claims, not independently verified industry statistics.
Itelence
Itelence’s service page describes a Poland-based nearshore offer with dedicated teams, individual staff augmentation, managed testing, QA within broader IT managed services, and QA recruitment. It gives examples of different commercial structures, including monthly per-FTE team pricing, monthly per-specialist augmentation, and fixed monthly scope or per-release managed testing. These are provider descriptions and may change; ask for a current written proposal.

How to shortlist and evaluate companies
Choose three to five qualified candidates and send each the same scope, questions, and pilot outline. A 2026 SoftwareTestPilot guide suggests a 100-point scorecard: technical fit (25), delivery process (15), security and compliance (15), people and retention (15), communication (10), commercial terms (10), and references (10). These are that guide’s suggested weights, not an industry standard. Adjust them to reflect your risks and priorities.
Technical fit
- Ask about experience with your application type, technology stack, testing needs, regulatory context, and release cadence.
- Request relevant examples, such as sample test artifacts or automation code, where sharing them is appropriate.
- Check that the named people—not just the company’s general service list—have the skills your work requires.
Delivery ownership
- Identify who assigns work, sets test strategy, reviews findings, triages defects, and approves releases.
- Put deliverables, acceptance criteria, reporting, and escalation expectations in writing.
- For a managed service, define what the provider can decide independently and what remains your responsibility.
Security and intellectual property
- Ask how access is restricted to authorized staff and how credentials, client data, and confidential information are handled.
- Request current, relevant evidence for security or compliance claims rather than relying on broad assurances.
- Specify ownership and permitted use of test cases, scripts, automation code, reports, and other work products.
People, communication, and continuity
- Meet the proposed delivery team and ask how staffing changes, replacements, and retention are handled.
- Confirm workable time-zone overlap, communication channels, reporting cadence, escalation contacts, and participation in your sprint or release routines.
- Agree how product knowledge and testing documentation will be maintained so it does not reside only with individual team members.
Commercial terms, references, and pilot
- Clarify what the fee includes, how scope changes affect it, what service levels mean, and how disputes or vendor-caused rework are handled.
- Ask how test assets and knowledge will be transferred if the engagement ends, and include exit assistance in the agreement.
- Speak with references whose product scale and needs resemble yours.
- Consider a limited, paid pilot or defined test assignment. Use it to assess communication, reporting, and defect documentation before committing to a longer engagement.
QualityLogic’s buyer checklist also emphasizes sufficient skills and capacity, clear SLA deliverables, IP protection and restricted access, workable time-zone communication, adaptability, and remediation when the vendor is at fault. Its white paper dates to 2019; treat these as due-diligence questions, not a current market benchmark.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. What published QA outsourcing rates can—and cannot—tell you
SoftwareTestPilot’s July 14, 2026 guide gives these indicative hourly estimates by region. They are the guide’s estimates, not verified quotes or a universal rate card; it does not establish that role, seniority, scope, or contract structures are fully comparable across regions.
| Region | Indicative hourly range in SoftwareTestPilot’s 2026 guide |
|---|---|
| India | $18–$45 |
| Philippines | $15–$35 |
| Latin America (LATAM) | $28–$70 |
| Eastern Europe | $35–$85 |
| US onshore | $80–$180 |
To make proposals more comparable, ask each shortlisted provider to quote the same roles, hours, scope, time-zone overlap, and service levels. Also ask how the price changes with a dedicated team, a fixed project, or a managed service; hourly rates alone do not describe the full engagement cost.

Best Value
The same guide reports typical blended savings of 40–70% versus an in-house US QA team, with a reported median of 55% across engagements it tracks. The page does not establish a public methodology or independent validation for those figures, so they should not be treated as a general forecast for your company.
What provider claims mean
Company pages can help you identify services and questions to investigate, but provider-reported scale, customer outcomes, pricing examples, staffing, and compliance statements are not independent validation. For example, DeviQA publishes customer survey figures including 59% reporting improved focus on core business, 64% reporting higher production efficiency alongside reduced labor costs, 60% noticing customer-experience improvements, and 100% agreeing that working with DeviQA positively affected product quality. The page reviewed does not provide enough survey methodology to treat those figures as representative or independently verified results.
Check claims that matter to your decision directly with the provider, and request evidence that is specific to the proposed team and your use case. There is no independently established market-size or growth figure here that would help determine whether a particular vendor is a fit.
