Who was QPR’s £100,000-a-week signing?
It was Chris Samba, also known as Christopher Samba. Sky Sports and BBC Sport later described his QPR wage as about £100,000 per week; those reports do not establish that figure through a published contract. The Standard reported that, after leaving QPR, Samba had agreed to a four-year Anzhi contract worth £100,000 a week. How many times did Samba play for QPR?
Sky Sports, The Standard and BBC Sport each report 10 QPR appearances. The sources cited here do not establish a breakdown by competition, so the figure should not be read as 10 league appearances or 10 starts. Published accounts disagree, and the available reports do not resolve the difference:

Without a primary record to reconcile them, neither figure should be presented as settled. The Standard also reported that QPR agreed to sell Samba back to Anzhi for £12 million in July 2013; Sky Sports gives the same sale figure. The Standard; Sky Sports.

QPR signed Samba during a Premier League relegation fight in January 2013. The club went down that season, and he returned to Anzhi that summer. Anzhi chairman Konstantin Remchukov said, “I can confirm that Samba has returned to us. If everything is in order, then he will once again be our player,” according to The Standard’s July 2013 report.
