In the U.S., the main way to get free Amazon.com delivery without Prime is to place an eligible order of at least $35. Amazon Locker and grocery pickup can also avoid delivery charges in specific cases, but they are pickup options—not universal ways to waive shipping on any order.
1. Meet Amazon’s $35 minimum with eligible items
Amazon says U.S. customers without Prime can get free delivery by spending at least $35 per order in the Amazon store. The minimum does not mean every item counts: Amazon advises checking the product detail page to confirm that an item is eligible and fulfilled and shipped by Amazon. Amazon’s free-delivery guidance says delivery for these orders can take five to eight days.

- Add eligible items to your cart until the qualifying merchandise total reaches at least $35.
- Review item eligibility on each product page and make sure the qualifying items are fulfilled and shipped by Amazon.
- At checkout, check the delivery options and final shipping charge for your address before placing the order.
Address and cart eligibility can affect the options shown, so treat the checkout total—not the cart value alone—as confirmation that delivery is free.
2. Choose an Amazon Locker when checkout offers it
Amazon says eligible orders can be sent to an available Amazon Locker at no additional cost. A Locker is a pickup location, not a separate way to make an otherwise ineligible order qualify for free shipping. If the order is not eligible, Locker delivery will not appear among the options. - Select the Locker only if it appears for your order and location.
- Check the final order total and any displayed delivery charge before confirming.
3. Use free grocery pickup where available
Pickup can avoid a delivery charge for grocery orders, but the conditions depend on the store and local availability. It does not provide free doorstep delivery for ordinary Amazon.com merchandise.

Does Amazon offer free Same-Day delivery without Prime?
Amazon’s current customer-service guidance does not establish a general free non-Prime Same-Day option. It lists non-Prime Same-Day delivery charges of up to $12.99 per order, depending on order details and ZIP code, and says the service is limited to select ZIP codes. Check the rate shown at checkout for your address. Amazon’s Same-Day delivery guidance has the service details.
