18 Best Amazon Price Trackers for Getting the Right Deal at the Right Time

Keepa is best for deep Amazon price history, while CamelCamelCamel offers simple free alerts. Compare 18 tools and learn how to verify a deal before buying.

Keepa is the best Amazon price tracker for detailed historical research, while CamelCamelCamel is the best simple free option. Amazon’s own Alexa for Shopping tools are the most convenient if you do not want to install anything. For coupons and seller comparisons, PayPal Honey is more useful than a traditional tracker; for discovering deals posted by other shoppers, Slickdeals is the better fit.

The important distinction is that these services do not all do the same job. Some show historical prices, some watch a product for a target-price alert, some find coupons or cashback, and others publish deals. The right choice depends on whether you want to verify an Amazon sale, wait for a specific price, compare retailers, or find a deal you have not already chosen.

Best Amazon price trackers at a glance

Tool Best for Price history Alerts Amazon-focused? Main limitation
Keepa Deep Amazon research Detailed charts Price and availability Yes Complex interface; advanced features may be paid
CamelCamelCamel Simple free tracking Historical charts Email price watches Yes Less analytical depth
Amazon Alexa for Shopping No-install tracking 30-, 90- and 365-day views where available Target-price alerts Yes Availability varies by market, account and product
PayPal Honey Coupons and seller comparisons Basic history Droplist alerts Amazon.com-focused features Not a deep historical database
Slickdeals Community deal discovery Not its primary function Keyword and deal alerts No Deals may expire quickly
eReaderIQ Kindle books Book-price tracking Price-drop alerts Amazon book-focused Narrow category coverage

Availability, supported marketplaces, app features and pricing can change. The descriptions below focus on the services and capabilities documented in the supplied sources; check each provider’s current terms before installing an extension or paying for an upgrade.

What is an Amazon price tracker?

A true price tracker records historical prices for a specific Amazon product and may notify you when the price falls. But “Amazon price tracker” is often used loosely for several different tools:

  • Price-watch services monitor a selected product and send an alert after it reaches your target.
  • Restock trackers notify you when an unavailable item returns.
  • Deal aggregators publish deals discovered by editors or communities.
  • Coupon and cashback services reduce the checkout cost but may not provide reliable long-term price history.
  • Cross-retailer tools compare Amazon with stores such as Walmart, Target or Best Buy.
  • Seller analytics tools are intended primarily for Amazon merchants, not ordinary shoppers.

How Amazon price trackers work

  1. Copy the exact Amazon product URL or ASIN.
  2. Add it to the tracker.
  3. Select the relevant price category, such as Amazon, third-party new, used or Buy Box price, if the service supports those distinctions.
  4. Set a dollar target, percentage threshold or availability alert.
  5. Choose email, push, browser or app notifications where available.
  6. When alerted, reopen the Amazon listing and verify the exact variant, seller, shipping cost, coupon, condition and return terms.
  7. Buy only when the final delivered price meets your target.

The 18 best tools, classified correctly

1. Keepa — best overall for deep Amazon price history

Keepa is the strongest choice for expensive purchases, seasonal shopping and anyone who wants more than a simple price alert. It offers detailed charts and tracking for Amazon prices, third-party new offers, used items, Warehouse Deals, Buy Box data, sales rank and offer counts. Its browser extension places charts on Amazon product pages, and its mobile app supports price history and alerts across multiple Amazon marketplaces.

Keepa advertises tracking across billions of Amazon products and supports international Amazon locales. Its Chrome listing and iOS listing describe price-drop and availability alerts, historical data, offer information and marketplace coverage. See the Chrome extension and iOS app.

Trade-off: The interface can overwhelm casual shoppers, and advanced functionality may require payment. Its chart is evidence about recorded history, not a promise that the price will fall again. Coupons, bundles, variants and seller changes can also complicate interpretation.

2. CamelCamelCamel — best simple free Amazon tracker

CamelCamelCamel is a straightforward option for shoppers who want to add a product, choose a target and receive an alert. It provides price-history charts, price watches, email notifications, wishlist synchronization and browser tools through The Camelizer.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

Its feature information distinguishes Amazon, third-party new and third-party used prices, which is useful when the cheapest offer is not the same condition or seller you intend to buy from. It is primarily associated with free, email-based monitoring, but alerts should not be assumed to be instantaneous.

Trade-off: It generally offers less chart and seller-analysis depth than Keepa. Always confirm that the chart corresponds to the exact variant and offer.

3. Amazon Alexa for Shopping — best built-in option

Amazon now provides native shopping tools that can show price history on eligible products, including 30-, 90- and 365-day views where available. Amazon also describes target-price alerts, personalized deal recommendations and an Auto-Buy feature that can place an order when a target price is reached.

  • 【Widely Used】This tool easily attaches labels to clothing, bags, hats, toys, socks, gloves and luggage, commonly used in stores, retailers, and garment factories; attach fasteners to seams or labels to hide holes

Read Amazon’s guides on checking price history and Alexa for Shopping tools. These features may vary by country, account, device, product and rollout status, so Auto-Buy should not be treated as universally available.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

Best for: Amazon customers who want a first-party, no-install workflow. Trade-off: It may provide less independent context and seller-level detail than specialist tools.

4. PayPal Honey — best for coupons and Amazon seller comparison

PayPal Honey is a browser extension and shopping service rather than a specialist historical database. On supported Amazon features, it can compare sellers for the same product, consider estimated shipping and Prime shipping benefits, show price history, find coupons and send Droplist price-drop alerts.

Honey’s support documentation says the described features are available to U.S. members on Amazon.com, with some Droplist availability in Canada. Amazon and PayPal Honey are not affiliated, according to Honey’s Amazon page.

Trade-off: Coupon savings and cashback are separate from historical price tracking. Review the extension’s current permissions and privacy disclosures before installing it.

5. Slickdeals — best for community-vetted deal discovery

Slickdeals is mainly a deal community. Users and editors post offers, while other members vote, comment and flag problems. Keyword alerts can help you find discounts during Prime Day, Black Friday and other events.

It answers “What deals are worth considering now?” rather than “Has this exact ASIN reached a historically low price?” A deal can expire before you click, and community votes do not prove that the price is the lowest in recorded history.

6. DealNews — best editorial deal feed

DealNews uses deal editors, categories and alerts to help shoppers discover current promotions, including Amazon offers. It is useful when you know the category but not the exact product.

It is not a replacement for a product-by-product historical tracker. Verify a DealNews offer against Amazon’s current checkout price and, for an expensive purchase, a history tool such as Keepa or CamelCamelCamel.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

7. eReaderIQ — best for Kindle books

eReaderIQ focuses on Kindle books and is a better fit for readers tracking prices that move between free, discounted and regular pricing. Its narrow focus is also its limitation: it is not a general tracker for electronics, appliances or household goods, and Kindle editions can differ by region.

8. Glass It — best for broader webpage monitoring

Glass It is positioned for website and price-change monitoring across stores. It may suit someone who wants a browser-based, cross-retailer watchlist.

Do not assume it provides the same structured Amazon history as Keepa. Confirm that it follows the exact product page, variant and final price you care about, and check current plans and supported pages before relying on it.

9. ShopSavvy — best for barcode and retailer comparison

ShopSavvy is mobile-oriented and useful for scanning a product or comparing Amazon with other retailers. It can help reveal alternatives when you are shopping in a store or researching a product family.

Free tools Windows power users keep installed

Barcode matching does not guarantee identical bundles, model numbers, warranties or included accessories. It is not necessarily a deep Amazon historical-price database.

BS ONE Price Tagging Gun for Clothing, Standard Retail Price Tag Attacher Gun for Clothes with 6 Needles & 1000pcs 2" Barbs Fasteners for Store
  • 【Durable】Durable hard plastic BS ONE clothing tagger gun with standard size stainless steel needles - Under the correct operation, our clothes tagging gun still work well even though after thousands of times use.
  • 【Easy To Use】The load of attachments and the replacement of needle both won't take you too much effort. You can learn to use this tag gun within one minute so long as you have read the instructions.(NOT for Sewing Clothes)
  • 【Applied To Various Cloth】The price gun designed for use with regular fabrics including wool, linen, cotton, denim, polyester, synthetic, natural, and others fabrics. Do not use the tag gun on silk or any delicate and fine fabrics.
  • 【Wide Applications】It's a great tool for attaching cardboards/ brand labels/ price labels to clothes, garments, toys, luggage, socks, bags etc. Perfect for shop, boutiques, retailers, online seller, garment factory.
  • 【Usage Precaution】BS ONE pricing tag gun is safe to use on most of the fabrics perfectly thick ones. However standard needle is 0.08 inch thick that may easily leave a visible hole if used on very fine delicate fabrics. So you had better attach fastener in seams of the garment or on the sewn-in labels to hide the hole as much as possible.

10. PriceBlink — best for in-browser comparison

PriceBlink can alert shoppers to potentially lower prices at other retailers while browsing. It complements an Amazon history tool, but the displayed alternative may differ in shipping, tax, seller condition, membership benefits or product configuration.

11. PriceSpy — best for supported international markets

PriceSpy compares retailers and supports product-price monitoring in markets where its coverage is strong. Features and Amazon usefulness vary by country, so U.S. shoppers should confirm current Amazon.com coverage rather than assuming that an international listing works the same way.

12. BuyVia — best for mobile deal alerts

BuyVia combines mobile shopping assistance, deal alerts and retailer comparison. It can be useful for shoppers who want alternatives to Amazon, but it should not be presented as an Amazon-only historical tracker. Confirm current app availability, Amazon integration and alert behavior.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

13. Capital One Shopping — best for automatic coupon assistance

Capital One Shopping focuses on coupon discovery, price comparison, shopping alerts and account-based savings tools across retailers. It can reduce the effective checkout price, but it is not a substitute for a specialist Amazon chart. Rewards and coupon features can change, so review current terms and extension permissions.

14. Rakuten — best for eligible cashback

Rakuten solves a different problem: it may provide cashback when a qualifying retailer or offer is available. Cashback is not the same as a lower Amazon price, and rates, exclusions, eligibility and payout rules change. Use it alongside—not instead of—a price-history service.

15. RetailMeNot — best for promotional-code discovery

RetailMeNot is useful for coupons and promotional offers. It is not a dedicated Amazon price-history tracker. A coupon may apply only to a particular seller, variant or account and can disappear before checkout.

16. Karma — best for cross-retailer wishlists

Karma lets shoppers save products from different stores and receive price-drop notifications. Its usefulness depends on current store support and how it monitors Amazon pages. Check whether the exact product, variant and price type are supported before relying on an alert.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

17. Google Shopping — best for broad retailer comparison

Google Shopping is a free discovery and comparison tool that can show whether Amazon is actually the cheapest source. It is not an Amazon-specialist historical database. Compare model numbers, seller, condition, shipping, tax, delivery date and return policy before treating a result as equivalent.

18. Amazon Lists and Deal Alerts — best basic Amazon-native watchlist

Amazon Lists and related deal-alert features provide a simple way to save products and discover promotions without a third-party extension. Amazon has also described List-based deal discovery in its shopping and deal guidance.

These features vary by device, region, account and product category. They are convenient, but specialist tools may offer more transparent historical charts or seller distinctions.

How to choose the right tracker

  • Casual Amazon shopper: Start with Amazon’s native tools or CamelCamelCamel.
  • Big-ticket buyer: Use Keepa and inspect at least 90 days of history; use a full year for seasonal products.
  • Prime Day or Black Friday shopper: Set watches before the event and verify deal prices against historical data.
  • Kindle reader: Use eReaderIQ.
  • Coupon seeker: Try Honey, Capital One Shopping or RetailMeNot, but check the actual checkout total.
  • Community-deal shopper: Use Slickdeals or DealNews for discovery, then verify with a history tracker.
  • Cross-store shopper: Use ShopSavvy, PriceBlink, Google Shopping, Glass It or another comparison service, checking product identity carefully.
  • Privacy-conscious user: Prefer Amazon’s native tools or a service that meets your comfort level after reviewing current account, extension-permission and privacy disclosures.
  • Amazon reseller or advanced researcher: Keepa is the strongest candidate, but its depth also makes it less approachable for occasional shopping.

How to tell whether an Amazon deal is real

  1. Open the exact product page. Do not track a search result, category page or generic product family.
  2. Record the ASIN and selected variant. Size, color, storage, capacity and bundle differences can produce different prices.
  3. Review at least 90 days of history. Check a full year when the item is seasonal.
  4. Compare the current price with the normal range. A crossed-out list price is not proof of a genuine saving.
  5. Set a dollar target. A target such as $75 is often more useful than “20% off” when the reference price is inflated.
  6. Check the seller and condition. Amazon, third-party new, used, renewed and Warehouse Deals are not interchangeable.
  7. Apply coupons separately. Price charts may not include tick-box, account-specific or checkout-only discounts.
  8. Check the delivered total. Include shipping, Prime eligibility, taxes, subscriptions, membership requirements and delivery date.
  9. Verify immediately after an alert. Stock, seller, price and coupon eligibility can change before you open the link.
  10. Use a buy-now rule. For example, buy when the item is within 5% of its recorded low, below your personal target and offered by an acceptable seller.

How to read a price-history chart

A chart can contain several lines, and the lowest line may not be the offer you can buy today:

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.
  • Amazon price: The price offered directly by Amazon when available.
  • Third-party new: New marketplace offers, potentially with different shipping and seller terms.
  • Used or refurbished: A different condition, warranty assumption and return experience.
  • Buy Box: The prominently selected offer, which can change between sellers.
  • Availability: A low recorded price has little practical value if the item was unavailable or sold out.
  • Sales rank: Useful for market context, but not proof that a price is good value.
  • Offer count: A change in seller competition can explain price movement.
  • Coupon-adjusted price: May not be represented consistently in historical data.
  • Lightning Deal: A short promotion may not be captured at the same speed as an ordinary price change.

Interpret “lowest recorded price” as the lowest price in that service’s available data for the tracked price category—not necessarily the lowest price ever, the lowest delivered price or a price available now.

Why price alerts can mislead you

  • Coupons may be omitted: A headline price can remain unchanged while a checkout coupon lowers the effective cost.
  • Variants may share one listing: The low point may belong to a smaller, lower-capacity or differently colored version.
  • The seller may change: The product page can remain the same while fulfillment, shipping, condition or return terms change.
  • Stock may disappear: A tracker can report a brief price change after the item is already unavailable.
  • List prices can be misleading: Historical transaction prices are a better benchmark than a crossed-out reference price.
  • Marketplaces differ: Amazon.com, Amazon.ca, Amazon.co.uk and other regional stores have different currencies, taxes, shipping and warranty considerations.
  • Flash deals are difficult to capture: Do not assume every alert is instant.
  • Amazon features can vary: Native price history and Auto-Buy features may depend on rollout, account, device, product and country.
  • Too many watches create noise: Set realistic thresholds and delete watches after purchasing.
  • The wrong page may be tracked: Shortened links, mobile links, parent ASINs and product-family pages can produce inaccurate monitoring.

Keepa vs. CamelCamelCamel vs. Amazon

Choose Keepa when you want deep charts, multiple price categories, seller context, sales rank, offer counts, international marketplace support or serious research.

Choose CamelCamelCamel when you want a simple free watchlist and straightforward alerts without Keepa’s extra complexity.

Choose Amazon’s native tools when convenience and no installation matter most. Amazon’s own price-history tools may be enough for a quick 30-, 90- or 365-day check, subject to eligibility and rollout.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

For a high-value purchase, using both a specialist tracker and Amazon’s own display can provide useful context, but it is unnecessary for every everyday item.

Final decision guide

  • Want the deepest Amazon data? Use Keepa.
  • Want the simplest free tracker? Use CamelCamelCamel.
  • Want no third-party installation? Start with Amazon Alexa for Shopping or Amazon Lists.
  • Want coupons and seller comparison? Try PayPal Honey.
  • Want community deal discovery? Use Slickdeals.
  • Want to track Kindle books? Use eReaderIQ.
  • Want to compare other retailers? Use ShopSavvy, PriceBlink, Google Shopping, Glass It or another cross-store service—but verify that the products and final delivered prices are truly comparable.

Product prices and availability are accurate as of the date/time indicated and are subject to change. Any price and availability information displayed on Amazon at the time of purchase will apply.
