Windows Errors? Fix Them Before They Spread

Random freezes, missing sound and display glitches usually trace back to one bad driver. Find and replace yours safely.Free scan · under a minuteYou can borrow the structure of a free marketing template for your own business, but “legally steal” does not mean resell the file, remove copyright notices, or reuse someone else’s images and sample copy. The 11 options below include downloadable documents and online workspaces. They serve different jobs: a company marketing plan, a launch plan, a content plan, or an execution board.
Choose by planning horizon and working style first. Then replace the example material with your own audience, goals, budget, owners, dates, and measurement method.
What counts as a marketing plan template?
A marketing strategy explains direction: whom you serve, how you are positioned, and which choices you will make. A marketing plan turns that direction into channels, activities, budget, owners, dates, and measures. A marketing project plan goes narrower still, organizing tasks and milestones for one launch or campaign.
The list also includes digital, content, go-to-market, and collaborative templates. They are not interchangeable, so each recommendation states what it covers and what it leaves out.

The 11 free templates
1. HubSpot Free Marketing Plan Template
Best for: A traditional, all-purpose plan for a small business.
HubSpot says its template covers a business summary, initiatives, target market, market strategy, budget, channels and marketing technology. That makes it the closest match here to the document most people mean by “marketing plan.” Get it from HubSpot’s official template page.
Access: It is a free resource, but HubSpot uses a lead-generation form and explains that submitted information may be used for marketing communications. It is therefore free of charge, not necessarily anonymous.
Limitation: You still have to supply customer research, realistic assumptions and a measurement setup.

2. Smartsheet Marketing Plan Template
Best for: A detailed plan that can be circulated internally.
The conventional template on Smartsheet’s marketing-plan collection is described as editable in Word, PDF and Google Docs formats. It suits a quarterly or annual plan that needs formal review.
Access: Smartsheet promotes its work-management product, free trial and demos alongside the resources; confirm the current file-download path before relying on a particular format.

Pick the symptom - the matching free tool is one click away.
Limitation: A document does not assign or track execution automatically.
Verdict: Choose it when presentation and document flexibility matter more than a live workflow.
3. Smartsheet One-Page Marketing Plan
Best for: A solo operator, small business or executive who needs a plan people will actually maintain.
This version condenses business summary, objectives, target market, strategy, financial requirements, actions, roles, deadlines and costs into one page. Smartsheet lists Excel, Word, PDF and Google Docs versions in the same collection.

Verdict: The best starting point when alignment is more valuable than exhaustive detail.
4. Smartsheet Digital Marketing Plan
Best for: A business whose main acquisition and retention work is online.
Smartsheet’s digital-marketing collection includes planning options for digital strategy, campaigns, projects, checklists, startups and small businesses. Prompts address channels, products, promotion, pricing, performance standards and measurement.
Limitation: Digital templates may not cover events, partnerships, retail, direct mail, field sales, public relations or packaging.
Verdict: Use it when channel and performance planning are the center of the job, not as a complete offline-and-online operating plan.
5. Smartsheet Small-Business Digital Marketing Plan
Best for: A local business, early-stage service company or small ecommerce brand.
The small-business option in the same collection prompts users to document digital goals, strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, threats, target market, strategy and research results.
Limitation: It is intentionally lighter than an enterprise plan and may not model many teams, markets or complex budgets.
Verdict: A practical choice when you need strategic prompts without a large planning system.

6. Smartsheet Go-to-Market Marketing Plan
Best for: Launching a product, service, SaaS release or entering a new market.
Smartsheet’s go-to-market collection covers campaign purpose, objectives, audience, budget, resources, channels, goals and takeaways, with separate strategy, communications, sales, B2B, SaaS and startup variants.
Limitation: A GTM plan answers “How will we launch and sell this offer?” It does not replace the ongoing plan for retention, brand activity and routine demand generation.
Verdict: The strongest fit for a defined launch with a start date and launch milestones.
7. Smartsheet Content Marketing Plan
Best for: Publishers, SEO teams and content-led businesses.
Smartsheet’s content-marketing collection includes basic content plans, one-page plans, creative-brief checklists, social-content plans, inventories and buyer-persona content templates.

8. Miro Marketing Plan Template

Limitation: A board can be awkward when a lender, client or board requires a formal document.
Verdict: Use it to facilitate alignment and turn workshop decisions into a shared plan.
9. Miro Digital Marketing Plan
Best for: Connecting digital activity to the funnel.
Recommended Free Tools
The digital-marketing template organizes top-, middle- and bottom-of-funnel work, including content marketing, SEO and paid acquisition. Its editable canvas supports collaborative planning.
Limitation: Funnel structure does not by itself provide analytics configuration, conversion definitions or a reporting owner.
Verdict: Choose it when the key challenge is connecting awareness, consideration, conversion and retention activity.
10. Asana Marketing Project Plan
Best for: Converting an approved strategy into assigned work.
Asana distinguishes a broad marketing plan from a project plan: the first sets strategy, goals and channels; the second organizes tasks, deliverables, milestones, responsibilities and dates for a specific initiative. Its marketing project-plan template is built for that execution layer.
Access: Asana requires sign-up to use the template.
Limitation: A task board does not answer who the target customer is, why the offer wins, which channel deserves investment or what return is expected.
Verdict: Use it after the strategic plan exists, especially for a launch or campaign.

What a useful plan should contain
- Executive summary and business or product context
- Situation, market and competitor analysis
- Target segments and useful buyer personas
- Objectives, positioning and messaging
- Channel and activity strategy
- Content or campaign plan where relevant
- Budget, resources and owners
- Timeline, dependencies and review cadence
- KPIs, data sources and measurement method
- Risks, assumptions and constraints
No template needs every field. Its omissions should fit your use case. A polished board cannot supply customer insight, validate assumptions or make an unrealistic budget workable.
How to turn a blank template into a working plan
- Set the horizon. Decide whether this is for a campaign, quarter, launch or year.
- Write one primary objective. Make it measurable and time-bound.
- Narrow the audience. Define the segment well enough to choose channels and messages.
- Record the baseline. Note current leads, revenue, traffic, conversion rate or another starting measure.
- Choose maintainable channels. Remove channels the team cannot serve consistently.
- Assign owners. Every major activity needs one accountable person.
- Add constraints. Enter budget, people, tools, approvals and capacity.
- Define measurement. Name the KPI, data source, target and review date.
- Convert tactics into dates. Replace “use social media” with specific deliverables and deadlines.
- Schedule review. Review monthly or quarterly, then update assumptions and reallocate effort.
Can you legally copy a free template?
Use the official provider page, read its terms and treat the template as a starting structure for your own plan. “Free” does not automatically mean public domain or licensed for resale. Keep required attribution; do not redistribute or sell the original file; do not remove copyright or trademark notices; and replace sample copy, illustrations, photos, icons and brand elements unless their separate licenses permit reuse.

- Start at the original provider URL rather than an unknown mirror.
- Save a dated copy of the terms and the version you used.
- Replace proprietary examples with your own research and wording.
- Check embedded third-party assets before sharing the finished plan externally.
- Distinguish using a template to run your business from repackaging the template itself.
For a client, lender or board submission, export and review the final document separately from the platform workspace so permissions and proprietary links do not surprise the recipient.
Bottom line
Start with HubSpot for a conventional plan, Smartsheet One-Page for speed, Smartsheet GTM for a launch, Miro for collaborative thinking, and Asana or monday.com when execution needs owners and status tracking. Whichever you choose, delete irrelevant sections and make the goals, audience, budget, responsibilities, dates and KPIs specific to your business.
