It is a dated selection—not an independently tested ranking or a current endorsement. The descriptions below reflect what that article said, and do not establish each provider’s present services, eligibility, or performance.
This is a business-facing topic for exchanges, brokers, token issuers, funds, and other institutions evaluating a provider relationship. It is not a comparison of retail crypto-investing accounts.
What a crypto liquidity provider does
TechBullion describes crypto liquidity providers as firms that maintain cryptocurrency trading portfolios to help facilitate client orders and address liquidity needs, including those faced by exchanges. In principle, greater liquidity can make it easier to buy or sell without significant slippage, support narrower bid-ask spreads, and contribute to price discovery. Those are possible market effects, not guaranteed results from hiring any particular provider.
The ten providers in TechBullion’s 2024 selection
The list below preserves the order and broad descriptions in the July 2024 article. It does not imply that these companies are comparable in service scope or that any has been independently verified as “best.”

The 2024 article does not provide standardized evidence to compare liquidity, execution quality, costs, uptime, or risk across the ten firms. It also gives some provider-specific client, exchange, volume, ranking, team-size, or geographic claims without a cited source or methodology; those figures should not be treated as verified comparisons.
What is established about GSR’s current positioning
GSR’s official website, inspected October 4, 2026, describes services for token issuers, exchanges, financial institutions, payment companies, and asset managers. It lists liquidity provision, market strategy, execution, and related market infrastructure. This is evidence of GSR’s public positioning, not proof of its suitability for a specific client or a current ranking among the ten. It also does not establish what the other firms currently offer.

How to evaluate a provider for your business
Use the 2024 list as a starting point for conversations, not as a shortlist validated for your requirements. Ask each candidate for current, comparable documentation and assess it against your own assets, venues, trading volumes, jurisdictions, and controls.
1. Match the service to the need
- Clarify whether you need prime-of-prime liquidity, direct market making, OTC execution, exchange liquidity, token-launch support, or a combination.
- Confirm the provider’s target customer and whether it onboards your organization type, jurisdictions, and business model.
2. Define assets, venues, and markets
- Request a current list of supported assets and venues, specifying spot, derivatives, centralized exchanges, decentralized venues, and OTC where relevant.
- Ask how coverage changes by asset, venue, time of day, and market conditions; do not assume that a general claim of “crypto liquidity” covers your use case.
3. Verify integration and settlement boundaries
- Ask which APIs, FIX connectivity, execution workflows, and reporting are available, and what implementation and operational support they require.
- Establish who holds assets, how settlement works, and where the provider’s responsibility ends. Distinguish trading access from custody rather than assuming they come together.
4. Compare execution evidence on equivalent terms
- Request client-relevant data for spreads, order-book depth, slippage, quote quality, and uptime, including how each metric is defined and measured.
- Compare evidence for the same assets, venues, order sizes, and observation periods. A provider’s headline claim is not comparable if the measurement conditions differ.
5. Review counterparty, legal, and operating risk
- Assess counterparty exposure, custody and settlement arrangements, jurisdictions served, and licensing where applicable to your business.
- Confirm onboarding requirements, support arrangements, reporting, contract terms, and the process for handling outages or disputes.
Before signing, check the provider’s current documentation directly and have legal, compliance, and risk teams review the proposed arrangement. The 2024 article does not supply enough consistent detail to resolve these questions on a buyer’s behalf.
