How to choose the right type of hosting
Shared hosting
Shared hosting is the sensible starting point for a brochure site, portfolio, small blog or low-to-moderate traffic WordPress site. It is inexpensive and simple, but CPU, memory, PHP workers, processes and database resources are shared.
Managed WordPress
Managed WordPress plans add update controls, caching, security, backups, staging or migration assistance. They cost more but reduce administration. “WordPress hosting” does not guarantee capacity: plugins, database activity and traffic spikes can still exhaust limits.

Cloud hosting
Cloud plans can provide more scalable infrastructure than basic shared hosting, but you must understand the selected region, resource allocation, backup policy and billing model.
VPS or dedicated servers
A VPS provides isolated virtual resources and greater control, usually with administration duties unless managed. Dedicated servers are justified only for unusual workloads, compliance requirements or consistently high traffic.
Website builders
A builder is convenient if you do not need WordPress, custom server access or easy portability. Confirm how you would export content before committing.
1. Hostinger — best overall for beginners
Hostinger’s Thailand storefront shows a Single offer at ฿29 per month for 48 months, or ฿1,392 upfront, with a displayed renewal price of ฿109 per month. The page also shows a higher plan at ฿69 per month for 48 months, renewing at ฿229, with unlimited websites, 50 GB NVMe storage, daily or on-demand backups and a first-year domain on eligible extensions. The Single presentation includes one website, free SSL, weekly backups, CDN, AI tools and 24/7 support. A 30-day money-back guarantee is advertised. See the Thailand plan page and pricing page.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches2Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors3Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteChoose it if: you are launching a small business site, blog, portfolio or several modest sites and want the lowest straightforward entry cost.
Avoid it if: you require cPanel, guaranteed Thai data residency, advanced server control or month-to-month transparency. Treat the ฿29 figure as a long-term promotional commitment, not a permanent monthly price.
2. ThaiDomainHosting — best Bangkok-hosted local option
ThaiDomainHosting lists Bangkok hosting at the APDC Datacentre, cPanel business plans from ฿17.90 per month, storage from 25 GB to 150 GB, multiple websites, displayed unlimited bandwidth, DDoS protection and a 99.9% uptime guarantee. Its site also advertises a 30-day money-back guarantee. The WordPress range uses Plesk, Bangkok hosting and resource tiers from 1 GB to 6 GB RAM, with displayed prices from ฿16.90 per month. Details are on business hosting, WordPress hosting and the company page.
Choose it if: most visitors are in Thailand, you want cPanel or Plesk, and local hosting is more important than a global provider dashboard.

Read the acceptable-use and resource policies.
3. WebHostingThailand — best traditional Thai hosting provider
WebHostingThailand says its servers are in Bangkok and targets Thai and ASEAN visitors. It offers shared hosting, VPS and dedicated servers, one-click WordPress installation, free SSL, business email and off-site backups; it also says some backup and cloud-storage services remain inside Thailand. These are provider statements, not independent benchmarks. Review the offer at WebHostingThailand.
Choose it if: you want a conventional Thai host with a local support relationship and a path from shared hosting to VPS or dedicated infrastructure.
Check first: exact plan prices, restoration fees, mailbox limits, data-center choice and whether “Thai” applies to databases and backups as well as the web server.
4. Bluehost — best mainstream managed WordPress alternative
Bluehost’s displayed Starter WordPress plan is $3.99 per month for a 36-month term and renews at $9.99 per month; taxes are excluded. It lists ten websites, 10 GB NVMe storage, a stated suitability of up to 40,000 visits per month, managed updates, AI tools, first-year domain, migration tool, CDN, malware scanning and removal, WAF, DDoS protection, weekly backups and a 99.99% uptime SLA. Starter includes 24/7 chat, but phone support is not shown. See Bluehost’s plan page.
Choose it if: you want familiar managed WordPress tooling and do not need Thai-language support or Bangkok-origin hosting.
Cost warning: USD pricing, excluded taxes and the 36-month commitment make the headline figure unsuitable for direct comparison with Thai-baht annual plans.
5. Netway — best for Windows or local enterprise requirements
Netway describes infrastructure operated under Proen Internet at CAT IDC in Bang Rak, Bangkok, with Tier 3 characteristics, Thailand backbone connectivity, ISO/IEC 27001:2013 certification context and an average 99.9% uptime claim. Its Windows hosting and WordPress Toolkit references make it relevant to Microsoft-stack applications. See Netway’s Windows hosting page.
Rank #3
Choose it if: your application needs Windows hosting, local infrastructure context or a Thai enterprise vendor.
Certification of an infrastructure environment is not an automatic guarantee of compliance with every privacy or sector regulation. Confirm operating system, database, control panel, backup and support details for your exact plan.
6. THNIC TH Host — best for .th-focused organizations
THNIC lists Starter at ฿3,210 per year with 150 MB website space, five subdomains, 15 GB monthly bandwidth and one MySQL database. Smart SME is ฿5,885 per year with 500 MB, ten subdomains, 50 GB bandwidth and two databases; Corp 1G is ฿8,025 per year with 1 GB, 30 subdomains, 100 GB bandwidth and five databases. SSL is included. THNIC also provides Thai domain services and Thai QR payment options; see TH Host and THNIC pricing.
Choose it if: a .th identity and a simple local package matter more than storage or advanced WordPress capacity.
Avoid the lower tiers if: you run an image-heavy site, online store or large WordPress media library. The storage allocations are small by current standards.
7. Thai Data Hosting — best-value listed cloud WordPress package
Thai Data Hosting displays Cloud Hosting Super Speed from ฿1,359 per year, with 12 GB NVMe storage, unlimited bandwidth, up to four domains, unlimited MySQL and FTP accounts, a stated 100,000 monthly-visitor figure and a free Elementor Pro license. Its Enterprise Business package is shown from ฿2,890 per year with 200 GB SSD, unlimited domains and free .com registration and renewal as displayed. See the pricing page.
Choose it if: you want a low annual WordPress price and generous listed allowances.
The visitor number is a marketing estimate, not a universal capacity guarantee. Actual results depend on caching, page weight, plugins, database queries and traffic shape. The page’s 99.99% uptime statement is also a provider claim.
Rank #4
8. SiteGround — premium managed WordPress candidate
SiteGround is a plausible premium managed WordPress alternative, but the available source set does not establish current Thailand checkout availability, regional choice, renewal pricing, storage, email inclusion or refund terms. Its managed WordPress positioning is documented in this plan document. Verify every commercial detail directly before purchase.
Choose it only after verification: it may suit a buyer who values managed tooling and accepts higher renewal costs, but it should not be ranked on generic global reviews as though they measured Thailand.
9. Cloudways — managed cloud for users who need flexibility
Cloudways sits between ordinary shared hosting and self-managed infrastructure: the platform manages parts of the server experience while you select an underlying cloud provider and region. Because price, storage, backups, email and Thai proximity depend on that configuration, no Thailand-specific figure is established here. Check Cloudways’ current options before publishing or buying.
Choose it if: you understand cloud resource decisions and need more flexibility than shared hosting.
Do not choose it for: a simple brochure site that does not need additional operational complexity.
10. Kinsta — premium option for high-value WordPress
Kinsta is aimed at premium managed WordPress users, but current Thailand availability, nearest region, prices, renewal terms, traffic allowances, email policy and refund exclusions require direct verification. See Kinsta’s WordPress page.
Choose it only when: revenue, support and managed operations justify premium pricing. It is generally unnecessary for a small local blog.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Bangkok versus Singapore or another nearby region
A Bangkok origin can reduce network distance for predominantly Thai visitors, especially on dynamic WordPress requests, checkout pages, APIs and database-heavy screens. It does not guarantee faster pages: caching, DNS, page weight, database performance and the provider’s network matter just as much.
What’s actually slowing this PC down?
Pick the symptom - the matching free tool is one click away.
Best Value
Singapore, Hong Kong or Japan may be the better choice when the provider has stronger infrastructure, support, scaling or value there. A CDN can serve static images, CSS and JavaScript from edge locations, reducing the practical importance of origin for cached assets, while logged-in and transactional requests still reach the origin. Confirm the exact data center and whether you can change regions. “Thai server” may describe only the web origin; logs, backups, DNS, support records and payment data may be elsewhere.
What the price really means
Compare these items before ordering:
- Promotional monthly rate and required billing term.
- Total amount charged immediately.
- Renewal monthly or annual rate.
- Domain registration and renewal price, including extension eligibility.
- VAT, GST, currency conversion and payment fees.
- Optional backups, email, migration, CDN or security add-ons.
For example, Hostinger’s displayed ฿29 rate requires ฿1,392 upfront and later shows ฿109 per month for Single. Bluehost’s $3.99 rate requires 36 months and renews at $9.99, before taxes. Neither headline should be treated as a permanent monthly cost.
Features that deserve closer inspection
Backups
Ask whether backups are daily or weekly, how long they are retained, whether databases are included, whether restores are one-click and free, where copies are stored, and whether you can download an independent copy. An included backup on the same infrastructure is not a complete disaster-recovery plan.
Support
Separate Thai-language assistance from 24/7 sales or account chat. Check ticket response expectations, technical troubleshooting, phone availability and whether support can investigate server resource exhaustion.

Control panel and portability
cPanel is familiar and relatively portable; Plesk is common in managed WordPress and Windows environments; custom dashboards can be easier for beginners but may increase switching costs. Confirm SSH, WP-CLI, database export, DNS control and whether a site can be moved without a proprietary builder.
Shared-host email can inherit reputation and deliverability problems. A business may be better served by separate Google Workspace or Microsoft 365 mail, even when website hosting includes mailboxes.
When to move from shared hosting
- Repeated CPU, RAM, PHP-worker, process or database-limit warnings.
- Slow or failed checkout and logged-in requests during normal traffic.
- Traffic spikes that require predictable resource isolation.
- Compliance, operating-system or network controls unavailable on shared plans.
- A need for staging, object caching, queue workers or scheduled background jobs.
Move to managed VPS or cloud hosting when you need those controls but do not want to administer a server. A dedicated server is usually unnecessary until the workload or compliance case is clear.
Migration checklist
- Lower DNS TTL before the move and record current DNS, email and database settings.
- Create a complete file and database backup, plus a separate downloadable copy.
- Build and test the site on the new host before changing DNS.
- Recreate mailboxes, SPF, DKIM and DMARC; do not assume website migration moves email.
- Check permalinks, SSL, forms, payment callbacks, cron jobs, redirects and analytics.
- Change DNS during a low-risk period, monitor both hosts and keep the old account until propagation and mail delivery are confirmed.
Final decision guide
- First small site or budget blog: Hostinger, after calculating the upfront and renewal totals.
- Thai visitors and Bangkok origin: ThaiDomainHosting or WebHostingThailand.
- .th identity is central: THNIC TH Host, provided its storage limits fit.
- Managed WordPress from a global provider: Bluehost if USD billing and non-Thai origin are acceptable.
- Windows or local enterprise infrastructure: Netway.
- Low annual cloud WordPress pricing: Thai Data Hosting, with its visitor and uptime claims treated as estimates.
- High traffic or strict technical requirements: investigate a managed VPS or cloud configuration rather than ordinary shared hosting.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is a Bangkok server always faster for Thai visitors?
No. Bangkok can reduce network distance for dynamic requests, but caching, CDN configuration, DNS, page weight, database performance and network quality can outweigh geography. Confirm the actual data center and test your own site.
Recommended Free Tools
What is the cheapest hosting in Thailand?
The lowest displayed figures are promotional and use different terms. Hostinger shows ฿29/month on a 48-month offer, ThaiDomainHosting shows business plans from ฿17.90/month on its displayed billing option, THNIC starts at ฿3,210/year, and Thai Data Hosting shows ฿1,359/year. Compare upfront totals, renewal prices, taxes and limits rather than the smallest monthly number.
Do Thai hosts include email?
Some do, but mailbox counts, storage, spam controls and deliverability vary. For important business mail, compare a separate Google Workspace or Microsoft 365 subscription instead of relying on shared-host email.
