Deal status: expired. In the Philippines, the Pocophone F1’s April 2019 promotion cut the 6GB/64GB model to ₱14,990 and the 6GB/128GB model to ₱16,990. Lazada advertised a one-time midnight flash-sale price of ₱14,590 for the 64GB model on April 15, 2019. These are historical prices, not a current offer; the available sources do not verify present-day official stock or pricing.
What was the Pocophone F1 deal?
A Philippine deal report published April 12, 2019 said the regular reductions would begin April 16. It listed Xiaomi’s Philippine retail prices as follows:
| Configuration | Previous price | 2019 promotion price | Reduction |
|---|---|---|---|
| 6GB RAM / 64GB storage | ₱17,990 | ₱14,990 | ₱3,000, about 16.7% |
| 6GB RAM / 128GB storage | ₱19,990 | ₱16,990 | ₱3,000, about 15.0% |
The same report scheduled a separate Lazada flash sale for midnight on April 15, 2019: ₱14,590 for the 64GB model. That was ₱400 below its subsequent ₱14,990 promotion price and ₱3,400, or about 18.9%, below the model’s previous price. It was a timed offer, not the standard promotion price. NoypiGeeks’ Philippine deal report gives the original dates and prices.
Why did it stand out at that price?
The F1’s value proposition was unusually straightforward: it put a flagship-class processor from its launch period into a much cheaper phone. Xiaomi’s UK specification page lists a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 running up to 2.8GHz, an Adreno 630 GPU, liquid cooling and 6GB of LPDDR4X RAM. For buyers focused on demanding apps and gaming, that was a stronger performance pitch than many phones at the same price.

The listed hardware also included a 4,000mAh typical-capacity battery, Quick Charge 3.0, USB-C, a 3.5mm headphone jack, a rear fingerprint reader and infrared-assisted face unlock. The hybrid tray supports two SIMs or one SIM plus a microSD card, so adding storage can mean giving up the second SIM slot. These specifications are from Xiaomi’s UK product page and should not be taken as proof that every regional variant is identical: Xiaomi’s POCO F1 specifications.
Which storage version made more sense?
64GB: lower upfront cost
The 64GB version was the cheapest way into the deal. It suited buyers who kept media elsewhere or were comfortable managing storage. A microSD card can hold compatible files, but it does not make removable storage interchangeable with internal storage for apps and system data; the hybrid tray may also force a choice between a second SIM and the card.
128GB: more room on the phone
For ₱2,000 more at the advertised promotion prices, the 128GB version offered twice the internal capacity. Buyers planning to keep more apps, downloads and media locally could find that more convenient than depending on removable storage. The Philippine offer named only the 6GB/64GB and 6GB/128GB configurations; it does not establish that other global configurations were part of this promotion.
What were the trade-offs?
Screen and design
Xiaomi’s UK specification page lists a 6.18-inch, 2246 × 1080 LCD. It is not an OLED screen, and the phone’s large notch, bezels, 8.8mm thickness and 182g weight reflect its generation. The cited specification page does not list wireless charging or an official IP water-resistance rating.

Cameras
The listed rear setup is 12MP plus 5MP, with a 20MP front camera. The primary rear camera’s hardware was respectable for its era, but a fast processor does not make the camera system equivalent to a modern flagship. Camera quality, low-light results, video stabilization and the usefulness of the secondary camera are separate considerations.

Software and long-term support
The 2019 deal coverage described the phone as originally shipping with Android 8.1 and MIUI for POCO. Xiaomi now says smartphone security updates are typically maintained for at least two years after first shipment, with some models receiving three years or longer; that general policy is not a device-specific confirmation of current F1 support. Given the phone’s 2018 launch, buyers should not assume it still receives official security updates. See Xiaomi’s general security-update policy and the contemporary deal coverage.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Should you buy a Pocophone F1 in 2026?
Only conditionally—as a low-cost secondary handset, gaming device or project phone, not an automatic bargain for a primary phone. The 2019 price-to-performance case does not establish present-day value, and no current official F1 inventory or verified price is established here. For a primary phone, weigh security support, battery condition, warranty and service availability against the asking price; a newer phone may be a safer use of the money even if its headline processor is less impressive.
If considering a used or sealed old-stock unit, inspect or confirm the following before paying:
- Battery: Ask about battery health and replacement history. A sealed phone can still have a battery that aged during storage.
- Condition: Test the screen and touch response, USB-C port, cameras and autofocus, buttons, speakers and fingerprint reader. Look for burn-in, damage or signs of repair.
- Software: Check the installed software and security patch date, and decide whether the phone’s support status fits your use.
- Identity and network: Confirm the exact model, regional variant, storage and ROM. Compare that model’s LTE bands with your carrier; Xiaomi’s UK page lists LTE bands B1, B3, B7, B8, B20, B38, B40 and B41, but that list does not guarantee compatibility everywhere.
- Seller protection: Get the return period, warranty terms and device condition in writing. For purported new old stock, ask whether warranty coverage remains and verify the accessories rather than relying on a sealed box alone.
The trade-off remains the same: this was an appealing performance-per-peso deal in 2019, but its age, support uncertainty and condition risks matter more than its original discount to a buyer today.
