Wonderful Pistachios Launches Josh Allen Campaign Highlighting His Farming Roots

Wonderful Pistachios launched two new Josh Allen commercials on October 12, 2026, timed to the Buffalo Bills’ Monday Night Football game against the Los Angeles Rams. The ads build on the brand’s second year of partnership with the Bills quarterback and connect his NFL profile to his family’s pistachio-farming roots. Wonderful Pistachios’ campaign announcement says the launch continues its “The Don’t Hold Back Snack” campaign.

What happens in the two Josh Allen commercials?

The campaign includes two spots, “Tackle Sled” and “Resistance Bands.” Both use teammates’ efforts to resist snacking as the joke, with Allen offering Wonderful Pistachios as the straightforward answer.

“Tackle Sled”

A teammate climbs inside a football training sled to try to stop himself from snacking. Allen points him toward pistachios instead.

“Resistance Bands”

Another teammate straps himself to a wall with resistance bands in an attempt to avoid snacking. Allen again presents Wonderful Pistachios as the simpler option.

The campaign announcement says the ads include an on-screen disclosure that Allen really owns a pistachio farm. Michael Perdigao, president of The Wonderful Agency, described the disclosure this way: “Because as the on-screen disclosure in these ads say, ‘Seriously, Josh Allen really owns a pistachio farm.’”

Does Josh Allen really have a farming connection?

Yes. The company’s announcements describe Allen as part of a fourth-generation farming family whose pistachio orchards help supply Wonderful Pistachios. The campaign draws on that family connection to link his life as a quarterback with his life around farming. In the brand’s August 26, 2026 partnership announcement, Allen said: “From the farm to the field, pistachios are part of my roots, and I’m proud to share that story with fans.”

Allen also addressed the return of the campaign in the October 12 announcement: “I’m excited to be back with Wonderful Pistachios for another year because they keep finding new ways to have fun with the farmer side of my life. I get to eat pistachios, make some funny commercials, and remind people I actually know my way around a pistachio orchard. Hard to complain about that.”

What else is included in the campaign?

Beyond the commercials, the brand announced behind-the-scenes social content, Instagram giveaways featuring signed jerseys, footballs and other merchandise, and a one-off tractor-themed Josh Allen bobblehead. It also announced Bills Backers bar activations where fans could get complimentary pistachios and take photos with a life-size Allen standee.

The announcement listed venues in New York City, Boston, Chicago, Washington, D.C., Dallas, Nashville, Fort Lauderdale, Denver, Portland, Charlotte, Rochester, New York, and Hoboken, New Jersey. These are announcement-specific activations; venue participation and giveaway timing may change.

Where was the Josh Allen pistachio package announced?

On August 26, 2026, Wonderful announced a limited-edition 16-ounce package of Josh Allen-branded Roasted & Salted In-Shell Pistachios. The company said it was available at select Wegmans, Tops, Walmart, Amazon, and other retailers while supplies lasted. That announcement establishes the retailers named at the time, not current stock or a live listing.

The brand’s 2025 announcement said California’s Central Valley grows 95% of the pistachios in America. That is a company-reported figure from that announcement, not a newly verified industry statistic.

What is the Josh Allen Scholarship?

The renewed scholarship is another part of the partnership. Wonderful’s 2026 announcement says accepted students receive college application support and up to $12,000 over four years. The company also reported that nearly 40 seniors were accepted in the program’s inaugural year; that is a company-stated figure, not an independent evaluation of the program’s outcomes.

The 2025 announcement described eligibility for first-generation students graduating from Firebaugh High School and pursuing higher education. The 2026 announcement describes the renewed program as supporting students in Allen’s hometown, but neither announcement is a live application guide. What the launch announcement does—and does not—show

The company’s announcement establishes the campaign’s launch date, creative concepts and planned extensions. It does not provide measured audience reach, sales lift or ad-performance results, so the launch alone does not show how effective the campaign has been.
