Short answer: ScalaHosting’s official pricing page does not verify a general 81% off coupon. The largest discount it displays for the shared-hosting plans covered here is 75% off Mini, with an introductory price of $2.95 per month and a displayed renewal price of $11.95 per month. Prices and offers below were observed August 18, 2026; confirm the term and total in checkout before paying.
Current official ScalaHosting offers
ScalaHosting’s official shared-hosting pricing page displays different introductory discounts by plan. These are advertised plan prices, not proof of an additional or sitewide coupon.
| Plan | Displayed introductory price | Displayed discount | Displayed renewal price | Capacity signal |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Mini | $2.95/month | 75% | $11.95/month | 1 website; 10GB NVMe |
| Start | $5.95/month | 60% | $14.95/month | Unlimited websites; 50GB NVMe |
| Advanced | $9.95/month | 50% | $19.95/month | Unlimited websites; 100GB NVMe |
| Entry Cloud | $14.95/month | 63% | $39.95/month | 2 dedicated CPU cores; 2GB RAM |
The prices and discounts are those shown on the official page on August 18, 2026. The page offers 1-, 12-, and 36-month billing selectors, so do not assume a monthly figure is available for every term. Select your intended term and check the amount due before checkout; the table does not calculate a term total.
What the “81% off” claim means
An official introductory promotion, a coupon code, an affiliate link, and a coupon-site claim are not interchangeable. An introductory price may already reflect a plan- and term-specific promotion. A code may have separate eligibility rules, while an affiliate link may affect attribution or the landing page. None of those, alone, establishes a universal 81% discount.

One third-party coupon page claims 78% off plus an extra 10%. If the reductions apply sequentially, they produce an effective 80.2% discount: 1 − (0.22 × 0.90) = 0.802. That is not 88%, and it does not establish 81%. ScalaHosting’s official pricing page does not confirm that combination or a universal code.
Another coupon aggregator lists assorted purported discounts, but its listings do not establish that the codes are current, authorized for every buyer, or stackable with the displayed sale. Treat an 81% figure as unverified unless the checkout order summary itself shows the expected reduction for your chosen product and term.
Which plan fits your site?
Mini: one modest website
Mini is the lowest-priced listed option and is aimed at one website. Its listed signals are 10GB fixed NVMe storage, shared CPU and RAM, and no bandwidth limits. It can suit a small blog, portfolio, or brochure site if shared resources meet the site’s needs.
Rank #2
Start: several small websites
Start supports unlimited websites and lists 50GB fixed NVMe storage. It is a possible fit for a freelancer or small business managing multiple modest sites. The plan page shows a free domain among premium features; domain eligibility and first-year conditions are separate, as explained below.

Advanced also supports unlimited websites and lists 100GB fixed NVMe storage. Consider it when Start’s storage allowance is not enough, rather than choosing by the percentage discount alone.
Entry Cloud: dedicated-resource signals
Entry Cloud lists two dedicated CPU cores, 2GB RAM, unlimited websites, and SPanel. It costs more than the shared plans but may be more appropriate when a site needs dedicated resources. High traffic, WooCommerce, resource-intensive plugins, or concurrent workloads are reasons to assess requirements rather than buying the cheapest offer by default.

“Unlimited websites” is a plan feature, not a promise of unlimited computing resources; review the plan terms and resource limits for your intended workload.
How to check and apply a coupon
- Open the official plan page and select the product you intend to buy.
- Choose the billing term you actually want. Compare the full amount due, not just the displayed monthly equivalent.
- Continue to checkout and look for a promo-code field if one is offered.
- Enter the code exactly as published and select Apply.
- Review the order summary. Confirm whether the discount changed the payable total, and inspect the term, renewal rate, taxes, domain charges, and add-ons.
- Do not pay on the assumption that a code worked. Proceed only if the final summary shows the price and terms you expect.
The official pages reviewed do not verify a universal 81% code. No code should be described as guaranteed or working without a dated checkout confirmation for the specific product and term.
Check the renewal cost and upfront commitment
ScalaHosting lists separate standard renewal prices, so the displayed introductory discount is not a permanent rate. For example, Mini is shown at $2.95 per month initially and $11.95 per month at renewal. The displayed Start, Advanced, and Entry Cloud renewal rates are also higher than their introductory prices, as shown above.
Before ordering, use the billing selector and checkout summary to establish the full first-term charge; do not multiply a displayed monthly figure by an assumed term. A longer initial term may lower the effective monthly price but requires more money upfront and reduces flexibility. Compare that commitment with the displayed renewal price and the length of time you expect to keep the site.
ScalaHosting’s terms state that subsequent renewals use the standard price rather than the initial promotional discount. The company says renewal invoices are generated seven days before expiration. Future prices can change, so treat the displayed renewal rate as the current stated rate, not a guarantee against later changes.

New-customer promotions
ScalaHosting’s terms limit the money-back guarantee to new clients and restrict attempts to obtain a new initial discount for the same domain or website after cancellation. The company may refuse to activate a replacement package for the same site for 12 months after termination. Do not assume that opening another account or applying a new-user code makes an existing site eligible.

Free-domain conditions
The terms say eligible Start, Advanced, Entry Cloud, and Managed Cloud Hosting packages may include a domain free for the first year, for qualifying extensions such as .com, .net, .org, and .eu. A minimum one-year initial service period applies, and standard domain charges apply afterward. Not every plan or extension qualifies. If you use the refund guarantee, the domain’s normal price may still be due.
Refund scope and cancellation
ScalaHosting’s refund policy describes a 30-day guarantee for eligible new-client web-hosting, reseller-hosting, VPS, cloud-server, and SSL purchases, subject to the terms. Dedicated servers, domain registration or renewal, and certain software services are excluded. Existing customers’ new orders may not qualify, and terms-of-service violations can void eligibility.
The terms require cancellation through the client dashboard; sending an email alone is not sufficient. Domain registration, transfer, or renewal fees may not be refundable. Read the applicable terms before treating the guarantee as protection against every charge.
If a coupon does not work
- Check whether the code is limited to a particular product, billing term, or new customer.
- Re-enter it without extra spaces and verify punctuation or capitalization against the source that published it.
- Check whether another promotion is already applied; stacking is not established unless checkout accepts both.
- Return to the official plan page and begin a fresh checkout rather than relying on a cached third-party checkout page.
- Compare the final price with and without the code, and contact ScalaHosting sales or billing support before paying if the result is unclear.
ScalaHosting’s terms say affiliate cookies last 30 days and that the last affiliate link clicked takes precedence. A link may therefore affect attribution or the landing experience, but that does not prove it guarantees a particular discount.
How to make the purchase decision
Compare the total first-term charge, renewal rate, required commitment, domain cost after year one, and the plan’s resource limits. Shared hosting is the lower-cost fit for ordinary small sites; Entry Cloud is the more expensive option with advertised dedicated CPU and RAM. A larger headline percentage is not useful if the plan lacks the resources the site needs or the renewal cost does not fit the budget.
If you are comparing providers, use their official buying pages and check each provider’s current introductory price, renewal price, resource limits, refund terms, and included migration or backup features. This article does not establish current prices or comparable terms for other hosts.
