LuLu Group’s first reported hypermarket in Chennai was scheduled to open at Shenoy Nagar Metro Station on 12 October 2026, with a local preview specifying a 4:00 p.m. launch. The available reports were published before that time, so they establish the planned opening—not that the store has since opened or is operating.

Where is the reported hypermarket?
The planned outlet is at Shenoy Nagar Metro Station in Chennai. Earlier background coverage from Indian Express Tamil described retail outlets planned by Chennai Metro Rail Company and LuLu Group at Shenoy Nagar and Chennai Central. It provides context for the station-linked locations but does not establish detailed lease or development terms. Indian Express Tamil’s 8 March 2026 report covered those plans.

Pre-opening coverage described the hypermarket as offering groceries and other retail categories. Those descriptions are reported plans, not confirmation of the store’s actual inventory or current services. The reports concern outlets at metro stations; they do not establish that a full-scale LuLu mall opened in Chennai.
