Those are subscription prices checked August 16–18, 2026—not guaranteed total bills. Build credits, Lovable Cloud usage, in-app AI, payment processing, domains, email and other services can add to the cost.
For a prototype or small portfolio, Free may be enough. Pro is the practical starting point for most individual builders and small startups; Business is mainly a governance and security upgrade for teams.
Lovable pricing at a glance
The public plans are workspace subscriptions. Lovable says workspaces can have unlimited members; members share the workspace’s credit balance rather than paying separate seat fees.
| Plan | Monthly price | Annual billing signal | Included credits and positioning | Additional usage |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | Not applicable | Five daily build credits, capped at 30 per month; private projects; unlimited collaborators; limited Cloud and AI usage | Paid Cloud/AI top-ups generally require upgrading |
| Pro | $25 | About $21/month when billed annually, according to Lovable’s comparison guide | 100 monthly Pro credits plus daily free build credits; custom domains, rollover, roles, permissions and support | On-demand top-ups and usage controls available |
| Business | $50 | About $42/month when billed annually, according to Lovable’s comparison guide | 100 monthly Business credits plus Pro features, SSO, team workspaces, restricted projects, security center and priority support | Top-ups and usage controls available |
| Enterprise | Custom | Custom | Volume-based credit pricing, SCIM, audit logs, custom connectors, onboarding and dedicated support | Negotiated commercial terms |

What each Lovable plan includes
Free: useful for experiments, not unlimited production
Free includes five build credits per day, but Lovable’s pricing FAQ caps the monthly allowance at 30 build credits. You can create private projects and invite unlimited collaborators. Included Cloud and AI allowances are limited, and Free users generally cannot freely add funds when usage runs out.
That makes Free suitable for learning, prototypes, portfolios and low-volume sites. A continuously changing SaaS product or a busy app can outgrow it quickly.
Pro: the default choice for serious individual builders
Pro is $25 monthly, or approximately $21 per month on annual billing in Lovable’s comparison material. It includes 100 monthly Pro credits, daily free build credits, rollover, custom domains, removal of Lovable branding, roles and permissions, per-member limits, on-demand top-ups and email support.
Pro is generally the best fit for a freelancer, solo founder or small team that builds regularly and needs to launch on a custom domain.

Business: governance rather than a cheaper usage rate
Business costs $50 monthly, with an annual signal of approximately $42 per month. It adds SSO, team workspaces, restricted or private projects, a security center, design templates and priority support. Lovable says Cloud running costs and in-app AI costs are not cheaper simply because a workspace is on Business; the extra price primarily buys organizational controls.
Enterprise: negotiated pricing
Enterprise has no public fixed monthly price. Lovable describes volume-based credit pricing and custom terms. Dedicated support, SCIM, audit logs, custom connectors, onboarding, design-system support and publishing controls are aimed at organizations with procurement, compliance or governance requirements. Contact Lovable Enterprise for a quote.
How Lovable credits work
Credits are usage units attached to a workspace. They are not a fixed number of prompts and are shared by every member and project in that workspace.
Plan Mode versus Default Mode
Plan Mode costs one credit per message. Default Mode varies with task complexity, including the amount of code, files, tool calls and backend work involved. Lovable’s pricing FAQ gives these examples:
Rank #3
- we like to ship out right away
| Example task | Stated cost |
|---|---|
| Make a button gray | 0.50 credits |
| Remove the footer | 0.90 credits |
| Add authentication with sign-up and login | 1.20 credits |
| Build a landing page with images, theme and five sections | 1.70 credits |
These are examples, not a guaranteed rate card. Hover over a message’s three-dot menu in message history to see its actual cost. Large, open-ended prompts can consume substantially more than small edits.
Expiration, rollover and cancellation
- Monthly-plan credits expire two months after issuance if unused.
- Annual-plan credits expire one month after the annual period ends.
- Top-up credits last 12 months from purchase.
- Daily build-credit grants expire at the end of each day and do not roll over.
- Credits are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for cash.
- After cancellation, remaining credits remain usable through the current billing period. The workspace then switches to Free; unused paid credits can reactivate if you resubscribe before they expire.
Shared team balances
Unlimited members does not mean unlimited usage. One member can consume credits intended for another project. Owners and admins can set default and per-member limits in workspace administration settings.
Is Lovable really free?
Building a small app can cost nothing if your prompts and traffic stay within Free allowances. Hosting a larger production app is different: the app can consume Cloud credits through traffic, database operations, storage, compute, serverless functions, background jobs and related activity.
Lovable announced a billing transition in June 2026 toward one balance covering building and running apps, while saying plan prices, credit costs, consumption rates and expiration rules were not changing. The billing page is now called Plans & credit usage. Current materials state that Free, Pro and Business workspaces receive 20 credits per month for Cloud services, Free workspaces receive four credits per month for AI services used by live apps, and subscribers continue to receive five free build credits per day. Because some documentation still shows older dollar figures (such as $25 of Cloud and $1 of AI usage) and a temporary offer that ended in May 2026, use the current pricing page, the June 2026 billing announcement and your own dashboard as the authority.

What can create additional charges?
Lovable Cloud
Lovable Cloud bundles hosting, database, authentication, storage, realtime features, edge functions, scheduled jobs, logs and usage monitoring. Included grants may cover a small app, but high traffic, large databases, file storage or frequent backend activity can exceed them. If a paid workspace’s balance runs out, the deployed app may stop working until funds are added or the allowance resets. Automatic top-ups and monthly limits may be available to paid workspaces; owners and admins control those actions.
Runtime AI
AI calls made by your app’s end users are separate from the prompts you use to build it. Model choice, request volume and user behavior can therefore create a substantial runtime bill. Review the AI integration documentation, add application-level quotas and rate limits, and monitor usage after launch.
Domains, email and external services
Pro and higher include custom-domain support, but domain registration is normally paid to a registrar. Email delivery, external APIs, maps, analytics and other third-party services have their own pricing.

Payments
Built-in payments require Pro or higher and use Lovable Cloud for webhooks and subscription data. Lovable’s payments documentation lists Paddle at 5% plus $0.50 per transaction with no monthly fee, while Stripe uses its standard pay-as-you-go rates. These are transaction-processing fees, not Lovable subscription charges.

| Use case | Practical starting budget | What can change it |
|---|---|---|
| Prototype or portfolio | $0–$25 per month | Prompt volume, custom domain and traffic |
| Solo builder or small production app | Usually Pro-level subscription | Cloud activity, top-ups, email and external services |
| Team SaaS or internal tool | Pro or Business plus variable usage | Shared-credit consumption, governance needs and backend workload |
| AI-heavy or high-traffic product | Subscription plus potentially material Cloud/AI consumption | End-user requests, model choice, storage, compute and traffic |
These are budgeting categories, not guaranteed bills. Separate your budget into development (prompts), hosting (Cloud) and runtime AI (user calls).
Which Lovable plan should you choose?
| If you need… | Choose | Reason |
|---|---|---|
| To explore, prototype or publish a low-volume portfolio | Free | No subscription cost, with strict usage limits |
| Regular building, a custom domain, branding removal and top-ups | Pro | Best general-purpose plan for individuals and small projects |
| SSO, restricted projects, security controls or structured team access | Business | Governance features rather than a lower Cloud/AI rate |
| SCIM, audit logs, custom connectors, dedicated support or procurement controls | Enterprise | Custom volume pricing and formal support |
How to avoid unexpected Lovable charges
- Start on Free and measure the real workload before upgrading.
- Use Plan Mode for planning and staged, narrower requests.
- Inspect the credit cost of each meaningful message.
- Set default and per-member workspace limits.
- Review project-level Cloud and AI usage in Plans & credit usage.
- Set automatic top-up and monthly charge limits where available.
- Add authentication, quotas, rate limits and caching before exposing runtime AI publicly.
- Export databases and storage files before removing Lovable Cloud. Lovable says removing Cloud permanently deletes the Cloud instance and cannot be undone.
Portability and alternatives
Lovable says users own generated code, so you can consider deploying it on services such as Vercel, Netlify or Cloudflare Pages. Existing Supabase projects remain supported, but moving from Lovable Cloud to a separate Supabase project is not a one-click migration: expect data export, backend reconnection and possible schema work.
Visual/no-code alternatives such as Bubble and FlutterFlow may suit users prioritizing visual workflows or native mobile output. Their current prices should be checked directly before comparing totals.
